Traffic Volume Increases, JTT Implements Contraflow from KM 47 to KM 66 Toward Cikampek on the Jakarta–Cikampek Toll Road

Cikampek (03/04) – PT Jasamarga Transjawa Tol (JTT) supports the Police’s discretion by implementing a traffic engineering measure in the form of a contraflow from KM 47 to KM 66 toward Cikampek on the Jakarta–Cikampek Toll Road starting at 09:18 WIB to anticipate the increase in traffic volume heading to the eastern region of Trans Java during the Good Friday holiday period.

The contraflow traffic management measure is implemented situationally based on real-time traffic conditions in the field, as well as coordination between JTT and the Police to maintain traffic flow and ensure the safety of road users.

Vice President Corporate Secretary & Legal of PT Jasamarga Transjawa Tol, Ria Marlinda Paallo, stated that the implementation of contraflow is one of the strategic measures to reduce congestion for vehicles traveling toward Cikampek. “The implementation of a one-lane contraflow from KM 47 to KM 66 toward Cikampek is carried out under the discretion of the Police as an effort to maintain the smooth flow of traffic heading to the eastern region of Trans Java. JTT, together with the Police, continues to closely monitor traffic conditions to ensure that traffic management measures are implemented optimally,” said Ria.

JTT urges all Trans Java toll road users to prioritize safety while driving by ensuring that both drivers and vehicles are in prime condition before starting their journey. Road users are also advised to maintain a safe distance, pay attention to traffic signs, and follow the instructions of officers on duty, especially when complying with traffic engineering measures.

In addition, road users are encouraged to anticipate potential weather changes during their journey, ensure sufficient electronic toll balance, and plan their trips carefully.
