Easter Holiday Return Flow Strengthens, Vehicles from East Trans Java Increase by 39% at Cikampek Utama Toll Gate
Cikampek (06/04) – PT Jasamarga Transjawa Tol (JTT) recorded an increase in traffic volume during the return flow period of the long holiday commemorating the Death of Jesus Christ and the Resurrection of Jesus Christ (Easter). During the period of H-1 to H of the Easter holiday return flow (April 4–5, 2026), a total of 89,231 vehicles were recorded traveling from the eastern region of Trans Java toward Jakarta through the Cikampek Utama Toll Gate. This figure represents an increase of 39.96% compared to the normal traffic volume of 63,753 vehicles.
Corporate Secretary & Legal of PT Jasamarga Transjawa Tol, Ria Marlinda Paallo, stated, “Meanwhile, vehicles traveling toward the eastern region of Trans Java through the Cikampek Utama Toll Gate during the same period totaled 63,131 vehicles, representing an increase of 7.22% compared to the normal traffic volume of 58,882 vehicles,” said Ria.
The increase in traffic volume was also observed across several toll road sections managed by the JTT Group in the Central Java and East Java regions.
Central Java Region
a. Kalikangkung Toll Gate
Vehicles leaving Semarang totaled 44,853 vehicles (an increase of 35.57% from the normal volume of 33,085 vehicles). Meanwhile, vehicles traveling toward Semarang totaled 31,582 vehicles (a decrease of 5.46% from the normal volume of 33,405 vehicles).
b. Banyumanik Toll Gate
Traffic heading toward Jakarta totaled 58,492 vehicles (an increase of 32.38% from the normal volume of 44,184 vehicles). Meanwhile, traffic heading toward Solo reached 54,888 vehicles (an increase of 2.92% from the normal volume of 53,329 vehicles).
East Java Region
a. Warugunung Toll Gate
Vehicles traveling toward Jakarta totaled 46,485 vehicles (an increase of 16.83% from the normal volume of 39,789 vehicles), while traffic heading toward Surabaya reached 50,617 vehicles (an increase of 14.98% from the normal volume of 44,022 vehicles).
b. Kejapanan Utama Toll Gate
A total of 71,116 vehicles were recorded traveling toward Surabaya (an increase of 20.68% from the normal volume of 58,928 vehicles), and 63,807 vehicles traveling toward Malang (an increase of 15.64% from the normal volume of 55,175 vehicles).
c. Singosari Toll Gate
Vehicles traveling toward Surabaya totaled 38,779 vehicles (an increase of 20.29% from the normal volume of 32,238 vehicles), while traffic heading toward Malang reached 35,770 vehicles (an increase of 10.98% from the normal volume of 32,231 vehicles).
PT JTT urges Trans Java toll road users to continue prioritizing safety, plan their journeys carefully, ensure that both vehicles and drivers are in prime condition, and verify sufficient fuel supply and electronic toll balance before traveling.
