JTT Urges Road Users to Improve Vehicle Readiness During Travel Across the Trans Java Region
Bekasi (18/05) – PT Jasamarga Transjawa Tol (JTT) urges all road users to improve vehicle readiness before traveling on toll roads, particularly during periods of increased public mobility throughout long holidays and tourism travel across the Trans Java region.
Based on JTT operational data for the period of May 13–17, 2026, several traffic disturbance incidents were recorded across the Trans Java region, predominantly caused by tire blowouts and vehicle breakdowns. These conditions highlight the importance of vehicle readiness before traveling, especially during periods of heightened mobility on toll roads.
Vice President Corporate Secretary & Legal of PT Jasamarga Transjawa Tol, Ria Marlinda Paallo, stated that vehicle roadworthiness is a crucial factor in maintaining safety and smooth travel on toll roads. “Tire blowouts remain one of the dominant causes of vehicle disturbances on toll roads. Therefore, we urge road users to conduct thorough vehicle inspections before traveling, especially checking tire conditions including tire pressure, tread thickness, and tire service life to ensure safe and comfortable journeys,” said Ria.
Ria added that JTT continues to ensure the readiness of officers and traffic service fleets to support quick and optimal handling of vehicle disturbances in the field. In addition, JTT also conducts regular monitoring and inspections of road conditions, including pavement conditions, lane cleanliness, and road safety facilities, as part of efforts to maintain service standards and mitigate potential travel disruptions for road users. Traffic conditions are also monitored in real-time through integrated CCTV systems supported by active communication with operational officers in the field.
“In addition to ensuring vehicles are in prime condition, road users are also advised to comply with speed limits, avoid driving while fatigued, ensure sufficient fuel and electronic money balance, and utilize rest areas whenever rest is needed,” added Ria.
The traffic disturbance data was compiled from operational monitoring across toll road sections managed by JTT in the Trans Java region. The data forms part of the company’s regular evaluation and monitoring efforts to ensure traffic conditions remain under observation and to support service improvement and road user safety during periods of increased public mobility.
JTT once again urges all road users to always comply with traffic signs and officers’ instructions in the field to ensure safe, smooth, and comfortable journeys on toll roads.
