Update on the Surge of Return Traffic on January 4, 2026 Observed Since 06.00 WIB at Cikampek Utama Toll Gate
Cikampek (04/01) – PT Jasamarga Transjawa Toll (JTT) continues to conduct intensive monitoring of return traffic movements during the 2026 New Year holiday period. Since 06.00 WIB, an increase in vehicle volume from the eastern to the western Trans Java corridor has been observed at the Cikampek Utama Toll Gate (GT). This monitoring is carried out as an anticipatory measure to ensure smooth traffic flow, safety, and travel comfort for toll road users.
JTT monitors traffic dynamics in real time and ensures that all operational services are fully prepared to serve road users, including the readiness of transaction booths, field officers, and integrated traffic management. Based on traffic monitoring results, during Shift 1 (06.00 WIB to 14.00 WIB) on January 4, 2026, a total of 11,484 vehicles were recorded passing from the Eastern Trans Java region through Cikampek Utama Toll Gate, representing an increase of 55.11% compared to normal traffic conditions of 7,404 vehicles.
As part of its readiness to manage return traffic, JTT has optimized transaction services at major toll gates, particularly through operational arrangements at Cikampek Utama Toll Gate by operating 18 transaction booths toward Jakarta and 12 transaction booths toward Trans Java. These efforts are supported by enhanced operational personnel readiness and traffic services, as well as intensive coordination with the Highway Patrol Police and related agencies to maintain smooth vehicle flow across all Trans Java segments.
In addition, JTT ensures the readiness of travel support facilities, including rest areas, traffic signs, and travel information services. The latest information is delivered regularly through Dynamic Message Signs (DMS), official social media channels, and Jasa Marga Group information platforms to help road users better plan their journeys.
JTT urges road users to manage their travel time, ensure that vehicles and drivers are in good condition, and comply with traffic signs and directions from officers on duty. Safety remains our top priority. With good cooperation between toll road operators and road users, JTT hopes that the 2026 New Year holiday return traffic can run safely, smoothly, and comfortably.
