Fully Alert During the 2026 New Year Return Traffic, JTT Ensures Safe and Smooth Travel from the Eastern Trans Java Region

Cikampek (04/01) – In response to the increasing return traffic during the 2026 New Year holiday, PT Jasamarga Transjawa Toll (JTT) remains on full alert to ensure that road users’ journeys from the Eastern Trans Java Region run safely, smoothly, and comfortably. Through intensive traffic monitoring and optimal operational readiness across all major Trans Java corridors, JTT is present to serve wholeheartedly in supporting the smooth return of the public after the long holiday period. During the D-day to H+2 period of the 2026 New Year holiday (January 1–3, 2026), a total of 119,455 vehicles were recorded passing from the Eastern Trans Java Region through the Cikampek Utama Toll Gate (GT), an increase of 43.12% compared to normal traffic of 83,463 vehicles.

Meanwhile, vehicle movement toward the Eastern Trans Java Region has begun to decline. During the same period, a total of 95,645 vehicles were recorded traveling toward the Eastern Trans Java Region through Cikampek Utama Toll Gate, representing a decrease of 1.95% compared to normal traffic of 97,552 vehicles.

Traffic volumes also increased on toll road sections managed by JTT in Central Java and East Java as follows:

1.Central Java Region
a. Kalikangkung Toll Gate
The volume of vehicles leaving Semarang through Kalikangkung Toll Gate during the D-day to H+2 period of the 2026 New Year holiday was recorded at 76,911 vehicles, an increase of 77.49% compared to normal traffic of 43,333 vehicles. Meanwhile, vehicles heading toward Semarang totaled 53,159 vehicles, a decrease of 2.05% compared to normal traffic of 54,271 vehicles.

b. Banyumanik Toll Gate
During the D-day to H+2 period of the 2026 New Year holiday, a total of 95,097 vehicles were recorded traveling toward Jakarta through Banyumanik Toll Gate, an increase of 72.96% compared to normal traffic of 54,983 vehicles. Meanwhile, vehicles heading toward Solo totaled 86,471 vehicles, an increase of 14.93% compared to normal traffic of 75,241 vehicles.

2.East Java Region
a. Warugunung Toll Gate
During the D-day to H+2 period of the 2026 New Year holiday, a total of 64,168 vehicles were recorded traveling toward Jakarta through Warugunung Toll Gate, a decrease of 0.73% compared to normal traffic of 64,642 vehicles. Meanwhile, vehicles heading toward Surabaya through Warugunung Toll Gate totaled 65,588 vehicles, an increase of 8.45% compared to normal traffic of 60,475 vehicles.

b. Kejapanan Utama Toll Gate
During the D-day to H+2 period of the 2026 New Year holiday, a total of 97,809 vehicles were recorded traveling toward Surabaya, an increase of 29.93% compared to normal traffic of 75,276 vehicles. Meanwhile, vehicles heading toward Malang totaled 85,556 vehicles, an increase of 11.21% compared to normal traffic of 76,932 vehicles.

c. Singosari Toll Gate
During the D-day to H+2 period of the 2026 New Year holiday, a total of 52,273 vehicles were recorded traveling toward Surabaya, an increase of 35.34% compared to normal traffic of 38,624 vehicles. Meanwhile, vehicles heading toward Malang totaled 50,692 vehicles, an increase of 9.54% compared to normal traffic of 46,276 vehicles.

PT JTT urges Trans Java toll road users to prioritize safety, choose appropriate travel times, and ensure that vehicles and drivers are in prime condition. Road users are also advised to ensure sufficient power and fuel, as well as adequate electronic toll balance, and to always comply with traffic signs and directions from officers on duty for shared safety.
