Wholeheartedly Safeguarding Journeys, JTT Records Traffic Surge H-2 Ahead of the 2026 New Year Holiday
Cikampek (31/12) – As part of its commitment to serving road users wholeheartedly, PT Jasamarga Transjawa Tol (JTT) recorded a significant increase in vehicle traffic volume heading toward the Eastern Trans Java Region. During the H-2 period ahead of the 2026 New Year holiday (30 December 2025), a total of 35,711 vehicles were recorded traveling toward the Eastern Trans Java Region through the Cikampek Utama Toll Gate (GT), an increase of 41.40% compared to normal traffic of 25,255 vehicles.
On the other hand, vehicle movement from the Eastern Trans Java Region during the same period was also recorded at 30,939 vehicles passing through GT Cikampek Utama, or an increase of 23.81% compared to normal traffic of 24,990 vehicles.
Traffic volume was also observed to increase on toll road sections managed by JTT in Central Java and East Java as follows:
1. Central Java Region
a. Kalikangkung Toll Gate
During the H-2 period of the 2026 New Year holiday, vehicle volume toward Semarang through Kalikangkung Toll Gate was recorded at 19,848 vehicles, an increase of 50.91% compared to normal traffic of 13,152 vehicles. Meanwhile, vehicles leaving Semarang totaled 22,371 vehicles, an increase of 72.54% compared to normal traffic of 12,966 vehicles.
b. Banyumanik Toll Gate
During the H-2 period of the 2026 New Year holiday, a total of 28,612 vehicles were recorded traveling toward Solo through Banyumanik Toll Gate, an increase of 52.78% compared to normal traffic of 18,727 vehicles. Vehicles heading toward Jakarta totaled 26,492 vehicles, an increase of 68.53% compared to normal traffic of 15,719 vehicles.
2. East Java Region
a. Warugunung Toll Gate
During the H-2 period of the 2026 New Year holiday, a total of 22,377 vehicles were recorded traveling toward Surabaya through Warugunung Toll Gate, an increase of 28.23% compared to normal traffic of 17,451 vehicles. Vehicles heading toward Jakarta through Warugunung Toll Gate totaled 23,280 vehicles, an increase of 35.63% compared to normal traffic of 17,164 vehicles.
b. Kejapanan Utama Toll Gate
During the H-2 period of the 2026 New Year holiday, a total of 27,280 vehicles were recorded traveling toward Malang, an increase of 41.99% compared to normal traffic of 19,212 vehicles. Vehicles heading toward Surabaya totaled 27,092 vehicles, an increase of 30.53% compared to normal traffic of 20,756 vehicles.
c. Singosari Toll Gate
During the H-2 period of the 2026 New Year holiday, a total of 16,036 vehicles were recorded traveling toward Malang, an increase of 47.05% compared to normal traffic of 10,905 vehicles. Vehicles heading toward Surabaya totaled 14,801 vehicles, an increase of 43.96% compared to normal traffic of 10,281 vehicles.
PT JTT urges Trans Java toll road users to prioritize safety, choose appropriate travel times, and ensure that both vehicles and drivers are in prime condition. Road users are also advised to ensure sufficient battery power and fuel, adequate electronic toll card balance, and to always comply with traffic signs and instructions from officers on duty for shared safety.
