Preparing for New Year Holiday Traffic, JTT Monitors Traffic Volume and Implements 20% Toll Discount

Cikampek (30/12) — In anticipation of traffic movement during the New Year holiday period, PT Jasamarga Transjawa Tol (JTT) is intensively monitoring vehicle volume developments at several strategic points. Along with the increase in return traffic from the Christmas 2025 holiday from the Eastern Trans Java Region, JTT has recorded a significant surge in vehicle traffic volume heading westbound.

During the H+2 to H+4 Christmas 2025 period (27–29 December 2025), a total of 126,508 vehicles were recorded traveling from the Eastern Trans Java Region through the Cikampek Utama Toll Gate (GT). This figure represents an increase of 35.41% compared to normal traffic volume of 93,429 vehicles.

On the other hand, traffic movement toward the Eastern Trans Java Region also remained relatively high. During the same period, a total of 110,043 vehicles were recorded traveling toward the Eastern Trans Java Region through GT Cikampek Utama, or an increase of 28.71% compared to normal traffic volume of 85,499 vehicles, reflecting the high mobility of the public during the Christmas holiday period.

As part of efforts to support smooth travel and maintain road user comfort, JTT is once again implementing a 20% toll tariff discount on the Trans Java Toll Road sections, effective on 31 December 2025 from 00.00 WIB to 24.00 WIB. This toll discount applies to all vehicle classes making continuous journeys using electronic toll payment with sufficient balance. The discount is granted to road users traveling from Jakarta via the Cikampek Utama Toll Gate on the Jakarta–Cikampek Toll Road toward Semarang through the Kalikangkung Toll Gate on the Batang–Semarang Toll Road, and vice versa. This policy is expected to optimize traffic distribution while providing direct benefits to toll road users.

Traffic volume has also increased on toll road sections managed by JTT in Central Java and East Java as follows:
1. Central Java Region
a. Kalikangkung Toll Gate
During the H+2 to H+4 Christmas 2025 holiday period, vehicle volume leaving Semarang through Kalikangkung Toll Gate was recorded at 85,896 vehicles, or an increase of 79.62% compared to normal traffic of 47,820 vehicles. Meanwhile, vehicles heading toward Semarang totaled 65,192 vehicles, or an increase of 40.13% compared to normal traffic of 46,524 vehicles.

b. Banyumanik Toll Gate
During the H+2 to H+4 Christmas 2025 holiday period, a total of 106,519 vehicles were recorded traveling toward Jakarta through Banyumanik Toll Gate, an increase of 67.43% compared to normal traffic of 63,619 vehicles. Vehicles heading toward Solo totaled 101,447 vehicles, or an increase of 37.91% compared to normal traffic of 73,559 vehicles.

2. East Java Region
a. Warugunung Toll Gate
During the H+2 to H+4 Christmas 2025 holiday period, a total of 71,276 vehicles were recorded traveling toward Jakarta through Warugunung Toll Gate, an increase of 15.57% compared to normal traffic of 61,674 vehicles. Vehicles heading toward Surabaya totaled 80,841 vehicles, or an increase of 29.01% compared to normal traffic of 62,663 vehicles.

b. Kejapanan Utama Toll Gate
During the H+2 to H+4 Christmas 2025 holiday period, a total of 100,800 vehicles were recorded traveling toward Surabaya, an increase of 18.93% compared to normal traffic of 84,753 vehicles. Vehicles heading toward Malang totaled 90,594 vehicles, or an increase of 16.16% compared to normal traffic of 77,989 vehicles.

c. Singosari Toll Gate
During the H+2 to H+4 Christmas 2025 holiday period, a total of 54,439 vehicles were recorded traveling toward Surabaya, an increase of 18.03% compared to normal traffic of 46,122 vehicles. Vehicles heading toward Malang totaled 52,906 vehicles, or an increase of 13.19% compared to normal traffic of 46,739 vehicles.

PT JTT urges Trans Java toll road users to prioritize safety, choose appropriate travel times, and ensure that both vehicles and drivers are in prime condition. Road users are also advised to ensure sufficient battery power and fuel, as well as adequate electronic toll card balance, and to always comply with traffic signs and instructions from officers on duty for shared safety.
