Nataru Holiday Period, PT Jasamarga Transjawa Tol Records Increase in Vehicles Heading to Tourist Destinations in Central Java Region

Semarang (29/12), PT Jasamarga Transjawa Tol recorded an increase in vehicle movements during the 2024 Christmas and 2025 New Year (Nataru) holiday period. The rise in traffic volume was observed at toll gate accesses leading to tourist destinations in the Central Java region.

During the Nataru holiday period from 21 to 28 December 2024, the number of vehicles increased at several toll gates under the Jasamarga Transjawa Group in Central Java, namely Weleri Toll Gate on the Batang–Semarang Toll Road, Bawen Toll Gate on the Semarang–Solo Toll Road, and Ngemplak Toll Gate on the Solo–Ngawi Toll Road.

The increase in vehicle volume passing through several toll gates under the Jasamarga Transjawa Group in the Central Java region is recorded as follows:

1.Weleri Toll Gate
A total of 38,108 vehicles passed through Weleri Toll Gate towards Kendal, an increase of 5.96% compared to normal traffic of 35,966 vehicles.

2.Bawen Toll Gate
A total of 117,785 vehicles passed through Bawen Toll Gate towards Magelang, an increase of 45.04% compared to normal traffic of 81,206 vehicles.

3.Ngemplak Toll Gate
A total of 98,475 vehicles passed through Ngemplak Toll Gate towards Solo, an increase of 31.20% compared to normal traffic of 75,056 vehicles.

The increase in vehicle volume was triggered by traffic heading to popular tourist destinations in the Central Java region during the Nataru holidays, such as the natural tourism destination Curug Sewu, accessible via Weleri Toll Gate towards Kendal; Borobudur Temple tourism area accessible via Bawen Toll Gate towards Magelang; and Solo Safari tourism destination accessible via Ngemplak Toll Gate towards Solo.

PT Jasamarga Transjawa Tol continues to optimize toll road services in the areas of transactions, traffic management, maintenance and rest areas, and coordinates with the Police and related parties to ensure safe, comfortable and smooth travel for toll road users during the Nataru holiday period.

PT Jasamarga Transjawa Tol advises all road users to always prioritize safety, ensure vehicles are in prime condition, maintain sufficient electronic toll balance, charge electronic devices and refuel before starting the trip. If tired while driving, rest at designated locations. Drive carefully and comply with toll road regulations.
