Adjustment of Traffic Engineering Reimplemented: Local One Way from Semarang Section A, B, C to Kalikangkung

Semarang (25/03) – PT Jasamarga Transjawa Toll Road (JTT) supports the adjustment of traffic engineering that has been reimplemented based on Police discretion on the Semarang Section A, B, C Toll Road to the Batang–Semarang Toll Road to anticipate the increase in vehicle volume during the Idulfitri 1447H/2026 return flow period.

Previously, at 12:55 WIB, a local one way traffic scheme had been implemented from KM 429 Jangli Interchange (SS) of the Semarang Section A, B, C Toll Road to KM 414 Kalikangkung Toll Gate of the Batang–Semarang Toll Road. The utilization of the Jangli Interchange diversion was carried out to shorten access to the one way lane and help reduce congestion of vehicles heading westbound.

The Jangli Interchange itself is one of the infrastructures that has been prepared to support traffic management during the Idulfitri 1447H/2026 period, and during this return flow moment, it is being utilized for the first time to help distribute vehicle traffic.

As traffic conditions began to stabilize, based on Police discretion, a local one way traffic scheme was reimplemented from KM 425+800 of the Semarang Section A, B, C Toll Road to KM 414 Kalikangkung Toll Gate of the Batang–Semarang Toll Road, which began at 14:06 WIB to improve the flow of vehicles heading toward Jakarta.

Vice President Corporate Secretary & Legal of PT Jasamarga Transjawa Toll Road, Ria Marlinda Paallo, stated that this traffic engineering is part of anticipatory measures prepared jointly with the Police to handle the surge in vehicles during the return flow period. “In line with Police discretion, PT Jasamarga Transjawa Toll Road is implementing operational measures to reduce the surge of return flow traffic toward Jakarta and its surrounding areas. Based on monitoring of vehicle volume passing through the Semarang Section A, B, C Toll Road, JTT is implementing a local one way at KM 425 B approaching Rest Area KM 424. To further improve traffic flow, JTT is also applying a situational open-close scheme at Rest Area KM 424,” said Ria.

Ria added that JTT has also deployed operational personnel in the field and ensured the readiness of facilities and infrastructure to support the implementation of the traffic engineering so that it runs safely and smoothly.

JTT urges all road users to comply with traffic signs and instructions from officers in the field, ensure that their vehicles are in prime condition, and plan their journeys properly. Road users are also encouraged to utilize rest areas wisely and take breaks when feeling fatigued to ensure a safe and comfortable journey to their destination.
