Road Maintenance at KM 28 Towards Cikampek, JTT Ensures Toll Road Services Remain Optimal

Bekasi (11/05) – PT Jasamarga Transjawa Tol (JTT) is carrying out road maintenance activities at KM 28+175 towards Cikampek on the Jakarta–Cikampek Toll Road to ensure toll road services remain optimal for road users. These activities are part of efforts to maintain infrastructure quality while enhancing the safety and comfort of road users’ journeys.

Senior Manager Representative Office 1 of PT Jasamarga Transjawa Tol, Amri Sanusi, stated that the works being carried out are part of maintenance efforts aimed at maintaining the quality and reliability of the toll road so that it remains safe and comfortable for road users.

“The maintenance works at KM 28+175 towards Cikampek are being carried out gradually across two work lanes. Handling works on Lane 4 were conducted from May 6 to May 9, 2026, and continued with works on Lane 3 starting Sunday, May 10, 2026. The work stages include demolition of the existing pavement, subgrade preparation, selected borrow fill embankment, geotextile installation, and pavement layer overlay works. Currently, the works have entered the Base A overlay stage on Lane 3, and the entire series of works is targeted for completion by May 13, 2026,” said Amri.

Amri added that during the work period, JTT also supports situational contraflow traffic engineering based on the Police’s discretion from KM 23 to KM 28 towards Cikampek as an anticipatory measure against potential traffic congestion around the work area. “The implementation of the contraflow scheme is carried out situationally in accordance with traffic volume conditions in the field to maintain smooth travel for road users. All work processes and traffic arrangements are implemented while prioritizing safety aspects for both road users and field officers,” concluded Amri.

The works are being carried out within an area of approximately 50 meters on the carriageway towards Cikampek with situational traffic management implemented throughout the work period. JTT ensures that the remaining lanes remain operational so that traffic can continue flowing normally.

Vice President Corporate Secretary & Legal of PT Jasamarga Transjawa Tol, Ria Marlinda Paallo, added that the maintenance activities reflect the company’s commitment to maintaining the reliability of toll road infrastructure with high traffic mobility. “We continue to carry out periodic maintenance as part of efforts to maintain service quality for road users. By ensuring that infrastructure conditions remain well maintained, we hope road users can experience safer, more comfortable, and smoother journeys,” said Ria.

JTT has also coordinated with the Police regarding traffic arrangements during the work period and deployed officers around the work location.

JTT apologizes for any inconvenience that road users may experience due to these maintenance activities and expresses appreciation for the patience and understanding of road users during the work period. JTT urges road users to manage their travel time properly, ensure their vehicles are in prime condition, ensure sufficient electronic money balance, and always remain cautious while complying with traffic signs and officers’ instructions in the field.
