New Year’s Eve Traffic from Eastern Trans Java Increases, JTT Remains Committed to Serving Wholeheartedly

Cikampek (02/01) – New Year’s Eve 2026 marked the beginning of an increase in return traffic flow from the Eastern Trans Java Region. PT Jasamarga Transjawa Toll (JTT) recorded a significant rise in vehicle traffic volume heading westward, in line with increased public mobility following the New Year holiday. On New Year’s Day 2026 (January 1, 2026), a total of 33,990 vehicles passed from the Eastern Trans Java Region through Cikampek Utama Toll Gate (GT), an increase of 28.14% compared to normal traffic of 26,525 vehicles.

Meanwhile, vehicle movement toward the Eastern Trans Java Region during the same period was also recorded at 31,523 vehicles passing through Cikampek Utama Toll Gate, representing an increase of 8.50% compared to normal traffic of 29,054 vehicles.

Traffic volume also increased on toll road sections managed by JTT in Central Java and East Java, as follows:

1.Central Java Region
a. Kalikangkung Toll Gate
The volume of vehicles leaving Semarang through Kalikangkung Toll Gate on New Year’s Day 2026 reached 22,860 vehicles, an increase of 67.94% compared to normal traffic of 13,612 vehicles. Meanwhile, vehicles heading toward Semarang totaled 18,374 vehicles, up 13.83% from normal traffic of 16,142 vehicles.

b. Banyumanik Toll Gate
On New Year’s Day 2026, a total of 31,515 vehicles headed toward Jakarta via Banyumanik Toll Gate, an increase of 92.45% compared to normal traffic of 16,376 vehicles. Meanwhile, vehicles heading toward Solo totaled 30,814 vehicles, an increase of 48.32% compared to normal traffic of 20,775 vehicles.

2.East Java Region
a. Warugunung Toll Gate
On New Year’s Day 2026, 19,240 vehicles headed toward Jakarta via Warugunung Toll Gate, an increase of 4.22% compared to normal traffic of 18,461 vehicles. Meanwhile, vehicles heading toward Surabaya through Warugunung Toll Gate totaled 20,488 vehicles, an increase of 11.85% compared to normal traffic of 18,317 vehicles.

b. Kejapanan Utama Toll Gate
On New Year’s Day 2026, a total of 35,188 vehicles headed toward Surabaya, an increase of 61.41% compared to normal traffic of 21,801 vehicles. Meanwhile, vehicles heading toward Malang totaled 28,791 vehicles, an increase of 40.41% compared to normal traffic of 20,505 vehicles.

c. Singosari Toll Gate
On New Year’s Day 2026, a total of 18,828 vehicles headed toward Surabaya, an increase of 72.21% compared to normal traffic of 10,933 vehicles. Meanwhile, vehicles heading toward Malang totaled 16,423 vehicles, an increase of 37.92% compared to normal traffic of 11,908 vehicles.

PT JTT advises Trans Java toll road users to prioritize safety, choose appropriate travel times, and ensure that both vehicles and drivers are in optimal condition. Road users are also encouraged to ensure sufficient fuel and vehicle power, as well as adequate electronic toll balance, and to always comply with traffic signs and follow directions from on-site officers for shared safety.
