Easter Eve Drives Mobility Surge, 79 Thousand Vehicles Dominate Eastbound Traffic at Cikampek Utama Toll Gate
Cikampek (04/04) – PT Jasamarga Transjawa Tol (JTT) recorded an increase in traffic volume during the long holiday period of the Commemoration of the Death of Jesus Christ and the Resurrection of Jesus Christ (Easter). During the period of H-1 to H of the Easter holiday (April 2–3, 2026), a total of 79,477 vehicles were recorded traveling toward the eastern region of Trans Java through the Cikampek Utama Toll Gate. This figure represents an increase of 32.40% compared to the normal traffic volume of 60,026 vehicles.
Corporate Secretary & Legal of PT Jasamarga Transjawa Tol, Ria Marlinda Paallo, stated, “Meanwhile, vehicles traveling from the eastern region of Trans Java toward Jakarta through the Cikampek Utama Toll Gate totaled 67,997 vehicles, an increase of 24.69% compared to the normal traffic volume of 54,533 vehicles,” explained Ria.
The increase in traffic volume was also observed across several toll road sections managed by the JTT Group in the Central Java and East Java regions.
Central Java Region
a. Kalikangkung Toll Gate
Vehicles traveling toward Semarang totaled 42,936 vehicles (an increase of 22.73% from the normal volume of 34,984 vehicles). Meanwhile, vehicles leaving Semarang totaled 34,746 vehicles (an increase of 15.69% from the normal volume of 30,034 vehicles).
b. Banyumanik Toll Gate
Traffic heading toward Solo totaled 58,807 vehicles (an increase of 25.77% from the normal volume of 46,757 vehicles). Meanwhile, traffic heading toward Jakarta reached 43,115 vehicles (an increase of 25.11% from the normal volume of 34,461 vehicles).
East Java Region
a. Warugunung Toll Gate
Vehicles traveling toward Surabaya totaled 44,223 vehicles (an increase of 10.76% from the normal volume of 39,927 vehicles), while traffic heading toward Jakarta reached 45,739 vehicles (an increase of 17.69% from the normal volume of 38,863 vehicles).
b. Kejapanan Utama Toll Gate
A total of 59,769 vehicles were recorded traveling toward Malang (an increase of 30.79% from the normal volume of 45,697 vehicles), and 56,146 vehicles traveling toward Surabaya (an increase of 20.93% from the normal volume of 46,427 vehicles).
c. Singosari Toll Gate
Vehicles traveling toward Malang totaled 33,483 vehicles (an increase of 27.38% from the normal volume of 26,286 vehicles), while traffic heading toward Surabaya reached 28,223 vehicles (an increase of 21.03% from the normal volume of 23,319 vehicles).
PT JTT urges Trans Java toll road users to continue prioritizing safety, plan their journeys carefully, ensure that both vehicles and drivers are in prime condition, and verify sufficient fuel supply and electronic toll balance before traveling.
