Easter Holiday Drives Traffic Increase, 111 Thousand Vehicles Head Toward East Trans Java via Cikampek Utama Toll Gate
Cikampek (04/04) – PT Jasamarga Transjawa Tol (JTT) recorded an increase in traffic volume during the long holiday period of the Commemoration of the Death of Jesus Christ and the Resurrection of Jesus Christ (Easter). During the period of H-1 to H+1 of the Easter holiday (April 2–4, 2026), a total of 111,461 vehicles were recorded traveling toward the eastern region of Trans Java through the Cikampek Utama Toll Gate. This figure represents an increase of 21.03% compared to the normal traffic volume of 92,096 vehicles.
Corporate Secretary & Legal of PT Jasamarga Transjawa Tol, Ria Marlinda Paallo, stated, “Meanwhile, based on daily traffic data on Saturday, April 4, 2026, the movement of vehicles from the eastern region of Trans Java toward Jakarta began to show an increase. A total of 38,389 vehicles were recorded passing through the Cikampek Utama Toll Gate, representing an increase of 39.40% compared to the normal traffic volume of 27,539 vehicles. To anticipate this increase in traffic volume, JTT temporarily implemented a contraflow from KM 55 to KM 47 toward Jakarta on the Jakarta–Cikampek Toll Road under the discretion of the Police,” explained Ria.
Ria added, “As for vehicles traveling from the eastern region of Trans Java toward Jakarta through the Cikampek Utama Toll Gate during the period of April 2–4, 2026, a total of 106,386 vehicles were recorded, representing an increase of 29.63% compared to the normal traffic volume of 82,072 vehicles,” said Ria.
The increase in traffic volume was also observed across several toll road sections managed by the JTT Group in the Central Java and East Java regions.
Central Java Region
a. Kalikangkung Toll Gate
Vehicles traveling toward Semarang totaled 58,747 vehicles (an increase of 11.72% from the normal volume of 52,584 vehicles). Meanwhile, vehicles leaving Semarang totaled 54,046 vehicles (an increase of 20.85% from the normal volume of 44,722 vehicles).
b. Banyumanik Toll Gate
Traffic heading toward Solo totaled 86,624 vehicles (an increase of 16.37% from the normal volume of 74,439 vehicles). Meanwhile, traffic heading toward Jakarta reached 69,243 vehicles (an increase of 28.14% from the normal volume of 54,035 vehicles).
East Java Region
a. Warugunung Toll Gate
Vehicles traveling toward Surabaya totaled 68,651 vehicles (an increase of 11.88% from the normal volume of 61,359 vehicles), while traffic heading toward Jakarta reached 69,978 vehicles (an increase of 18.65% from the normal volume of 58,978 vehicles).
b. Kejapanan Utama Toll Gate
A total of 92,807 vehicles were recorded traveling toward Malang (an increase of 24.61% from the normal volume of 74,479 vehicles), and 88,720 vehicles traveling toward Surabaya (an increase of 20.39% from the normal volume of 73,696 vehicles).
c. Singosari Toll Gate
Vehicles traveling toward Malang totaled 52,516 vehicles (an increase of 19.34% from the normal volume of 44,004 vehicles), while traffic heading toward Surabaya reached 46,158 vehicles (an increase of 23.52% from the normal volume of 37,370 vehicles).
