Nataru Holiday Boosts Tourism Mobility, JTT Optimizes Services on the Solo–Ngawi Toll Road Corridor
Solo (02/01) – The 2025/2026 Christmas and New Year (Nataru) holiday period has driven a significant increase in public mobility toward various tourist destinations in the southern and central regions of Java Island. PT Jasamarga Transjawa Toll (JTT) recorded that the Solo–Ngawi Toll Road has become one of the main corridors supporting tourist movements, in line with the high public interest in traveling and year-end holiday activities.
As a strategic connector between the Greater Solo area and the eastern Trans Java region, the Solo–Ngawi Toll Road provides faster, safer, and more comfortable travel access. The presence of this toll road section plays an important role in distributing vehicle flows to and from tourist areas, while also maintaining smooth traffic conditions during the peak Nataru holiday period.
The increase in mobility is reflected in traffic performance at both entrance and exit toll gates during the Christmas 2025 and New Year 2026 holiday period. From December 19, 2025 to January 1, 2026, the Solo–Ngawi Toll Road served a total of 847,859 vehicles passing through entrance and exit toll gates, indicating the high level of public movement utilizing this corridor as a primary travel route, particularly to support year-end holiday activities and interregional mobility.
VP Corporate Secretary & Legal of PT Jasamarga Transjawa Toll, Ria Marlinda Paallo, stated that service optimization on the Solo–Ngawi Toll Road is part of the company’s commitment to ensuring smooth public travel during the long holiday period. “The Christmas and New Year holiday period is always accompanied by increased public mobility. Through the operational service readiness we have implemented on the Solo–Ngawi section, JTT strives to provide safe, comfortable, and smooth travel, while also supporting tourism movements and regional economic activities. This reflects our commitment to serving toll road users wholeheartedly,” she said.
In addition, JTT has also increased the intensity of traffic condition monitoring and coordination with relevant stakeholders to ensure the smooth flow of tourism-related travel. This service optimization is expected to provide a safe and positive driving experience for road users who utilize the Solo–Ngawi Toll Road as their main holiday travel route.
Through the strategic role of the Solo–Ngawi Toll Road, JTT continues to contribute to supporting the tourism sector and regional economic movement, while strengthening the function of toll roads as vital infrastructure connecting centers of public activity during national holiday periods.
