JTT Serves the 2026 New Year Return Traffic with Wholehearted Service and Optimal Operational Readiness
Cikampek (03/01) – In line with the increasing return traffic movement during the 2026 New Year holiday, PT Jasamarga Transjawa Toll (JTT) is present to serve road users with wholehearted service by optimizing operational readiness across all main Trans Java corridors. Intensive monitoring and service preparedness are carried out to ensure that return journeys from the Eastern Trans Java region are safe, smooth, and comfortable. During the period of New Year’s Day to H+1 of the 2026 New Year holiday (January 1–2, 2026), a total of 71,614 vehicles were recorded passing from the Eastern Trans Java region through Cikampek Utama Toll Gate (GT), an increase of 29.60% compared to normal traffic of 55,258 vehicles.
On the other hand, vehicle movement toward the Eastern Trans Java region has begun to decline. During the same period, a total of 62,403 vehicles were recorded traveling toward the Eastern Trans Java region through Cikampek Utama GT, a decrease of 3.02% compared to normal traffic of 64,348 vehicles.
As part of its commitment to providing wholehearted service amid the increase in return traffic during the 2026 New Year holiday, JTT strengthened operational arrangements at Cikampek Utama GT by operating 18 transaction booths toward Jakarta and 12 transaction booths toward Trans Java, ensuring that vehicle transaction processes run optimally and in a controlled manner.
Traffic volume was also observed to increase on toll road sections managed by JTT in the Central Java and East Java regions as follows:
1.Central Java Region
a. Kalikangkung GT
The volume of vehicles leaving Semarang through Kalikangkung GT during New Year’s Day to H+1 of the 2026 New Year holiday period reached 47,637 vehicles, an increase of 67.58% compared to normal traffic of 28,426 vehicles. Meanwhile, vehicles heading toward Semarang totaled 35,397 vehicles, up 1.06% compared to normal traffic of 35,027 vehicles.
b. Banyumanik GT
During New Year’s Day to H+1 of the 2026 New Year holiday period, a total of 61,070 vehicles traveled toward Jakarta through Banyumanik GT, an increase of 76.31% compared to normal traffic of 34,637 vehicles. Vehicles heading toward Solo totaled 57,477 vehicles, an increase of 23.10% compared to normal traffic of 46,691 vehicles.
2.East Java Region
a. Warugunung GT
During New Year’s Day to H+1 of the 2026 New Year holiday period, a total of 40,557 vehicles traveled toward Jakarta through Warugunung GT, an increase of 0.73% compared to normal traffic of 40,263 vehicles. Vehicles heading toward Surabaya through Warugunung GT totaled 41,412 vehicles, up 5.04% compared to normal traffic of 39,425 vehicles.
b. Kejapanan Utama GT
During New Year’s Day to H+1 of the 2026 New Year holiday period, a total of 65,109 vehicles traveled toward Surabaya, an increase of 41.61% compared to normal traffic of 45,977 vehicles. Vehicles heading toward Malang totaled 55,050 vehicles, an increase of 20.26% compared to normal traffic of 45,774 vehicles.
c. Singosari GT
During New Year’s Day to H+1 of the 2026 New Year holiday period, a total of 35,161 vehicles traveled toward Surabaya, an increase of 51.19% compared to normal traffic of 23,256 vehicles. Vehicles heading toward Malang totaled 32,369 vehicles, an increase of 20.86% compared to normal traffic of 26,782 vehicles.
PT JTT urges Trans Java toll road users to prioritize safety, choose appropriate travel times, and ensure that both vehicles and drivers are in prime condition. Road users are also advised to ensure sufficient power and fuel, as well as adequate electronic toll balance, and to always comply with traffic signs and follow instructions from officers on duty for shared safety.
