JTT Continues Situational Contraflow on the Jakarta–Cikampek Toll Road to Support Road Maintenance Works

Cikampek (08/05) – PT Jasamarga Transjawa Tol (JTT) once again supports the Police’s discretion through the implementation of a contraflow traffic engineering scheme from KM 23 to KM 28 towards Cikampek on the Jakarta–Cikampek Toll Road starting at 06.56 WIB. This traffic engineering measure was implemented as an anticipatory step to maintain smooth vehicle flow amid increasing traffic volume while supporting the ongoing road maintenance works at KM 28+175 towards Cikampek, which have been ongoing since yesterday.

VP Corporate Secretary & Legal of PT Jasamarga Transjawa Tol, Ria Marlinda Paallo, stated that the implementation of the contraflow scheme is carried out situationally based on coordination and the Police’s discretion to ensure road user mobility remains well maintained. “The implementation of this contraflow scheme is part of traffic engineering efforts aimed at maintaining smooth vehicle flow while supporting the ongoing road maintenance works on the Jakarta–Cikampek Toll Road. Based on the evaluation of traffic conditions and the progress of field works since yesterday, the contraflow traffic engineering scheme was reimplemented earlier today as an anticipatory measure to maintain smooth traffic distribution since the morning,” said Ria.

She added that JTT continues to conduct periodic evaluations of both traffic conditions and the progress of the road maintenance works and will continuously provide the latest information to road users. This is carried out to ensure the maintenance works can proceed optimally while continuing to prioritize the safety, security, and comfort of road users.

In addition to implementing traffic management arrangements, JTT is also optimizing vehicle flow monitoring through CCTV surveillance and deploying field officers to ensure the traffic engineering scheme operates properly while maintaining road user safety.

JTT apologizes for any inconvenience that may be experienced during the road handling activities and traffic engineering implementation. JTT also expresses appreciation for the patience and understanding of road users in supporting smooth traffic flow on the Jakarta–Cikampek Toll Road.

JTT urges road users to anticipate their travel plans, ensure their vehicles are roadworthy, comply with traffic signs and officers’ instructions, and ensure sufficient electronic money balance before entering the toll road.
