JTT Records 112 Thousand Vehicles Heading Toward the Eastern Trans Java Region During the Long Weekend of Indonesia’s Independence Day
Cikampek (19/08) – During the period of H-2 to H+1 of the long weekend for Indonesia’s Independence Day (15–18/08), PT Jasamarga Transjawa Tol (JTT) recorded a total of 112,124 vehicles heading toward the Eastern Trans Java Region through the Cikampek Utama Toll Gate (GT), an increase of 4.3% compared to normal traffic of 107,548 vehicles.
Vice President Corporate Secretary & Legal PT JTT, Ria Marlinda Paallo, stated, “Meanwhile, for vehicles coming from the Eastern Trans Java Region, a total of 111,903 vehicles were recorded, or 0.0% compared to normal traffic of 111,932 vehicles,” explained Ria.
PT Jasamarga Transjawa Tol also recorded traffic volume during H-2 to H+1 of the Independence Day long weekend in Central Java and East Java as follows:
1.Central Java Region
a. GT Kalikangkung
Traffic volume heading toward Semarang at GT Kalikangkung during H-2 to H+1 of the Independence Day long weekend recorded 55,032 vehicles, an increase of 0.5% from normal traffic of 54,783 vehicles. For vehicles leaving Semarang, 54,394 vehicles were recorded, a decrease of 3.8% from normal traffic of 56,568 vehicles.
b. GT Banyumanik
During H-2 to H+1 of the Independence Day long weekend, 87,355 vehicles heading toward Solo were recorded at GT Banyumanik, an increase of 2.5% from normal traffic of 85,243 vehicles. For vehicles heading toward Jakarta, 71,168 vehicles were recorded, a decrease of 4.9% compared to normal traffic of 74,798 vehicles.
2.East Java Region
a. GT Warugunung
During H-2 to H+1 of the Independence Day long weekend, 72,548 vehicles heading toward Surabaya were recorded at GT Warugunung, a decrease of 3.3% from normal traffic of 75,025 vehicles. For vehicles heading toward Jakarta through GT Warugunung, 69,642 vehicles were recorded, a decrease of 2.9% from normal traffic of 71,697 vehicles.
b. GT Kejapanan Utama
During H-2 to H+1 of the Independence Day long weekend, 93,116 vehicles heading toward Malang were recorded, a decrease of 1.0% from normal traffic of 94,034 vehicles. For vehicles heading toward Surabaya, 97,877 vehicles were recorded, a decrease of 0.7% from normal traffic of 98,544 vehicles.
c. GT Singosari
During H-2 to H+1 of the Independence Day long weekend, 56,629 vehicles heading toward Malang were recorded, an increase of 2.1% from normal traffic of 55,468 vehicles. For vehicles heading toward Surabaya, 52,978 vehicles were recorded, an increase of 0.2% from normal traffic of 52,847 vehicles.
Ria further emphasized the importance of safety for road users, stating, “We urge Trans Java toll road users to prioritize safety and prepare themselves before entering the toll road. Ensure both yourself and your vehicle are in prime condition, have sufficient power supply, fuel, and electronic toll balance, and comply with road signs and instructions from officers in the field,” concluded Ria.
