Pedestrian Overpass (JPO) at KM 428 of the Semarang ABC Toll Road Affected by Incident, JTT Prepares Response Measures and Situational Traffic Management

Semarang (25/04) – An incident involving a truck colliding with a Pedestrian Overpass (JPO) occurred at KM 428+800 of the Semarang ABC Toll Road on Friday, April 24, 2026, at 06:02 WIB. The incident resulted in damage to the JPO structure.

Senior Manager Representative Office 2 of PT Jasamarga Transjawa Toll Road, M. Faried Sulistamtama, explained that upon receiving the report, officers together with the maintenance team immediately proceeded to the location to conduct inspections and secure the area.

“Based on the initial inspection, there is damage to several structural elements of the JPO, including bracing components, structural joints, as well as one of the supporting columns which has shifted from its original position. To ensure the safety of road users and the surrounding community, access to the pedestrian overpass is temporarily closed until it is declared safe,” explained Faried.

JTT is currently preparing further handling measures in coordination with relevant stakeholders and experts, including repair plans for the affected JPO structure. To support the smooth execution of these works, traffic arrangements will be implemented on Saturday, April 25, 2026, from 00:00 WIB to 05:00 WIB as follows:

1. Vehicles from the Jakarta direction will be diverted at the KM 419 Interchange and directed to exit via Krapyak Exit.

2. Vehicles from Ujung Krapyak will be directed toward the Port Arterial Road.

3. All vehicles will be directed to use arterial or city roads.

4. Vehicles from Tembalang will be diverted toward Gayamsari and Kaligawe.

5. Traffic flow toward Jakarta at KM 429 Section C, Lane B, will be temporarily closed.

6. Vehicles heading toward Jakarta from Gayamsari Toll Gate will be directed toward the Port/Kaligawe after transaction.

7. Traffic heading toward Jakarta will be filtered at Muktiharjo Toll Gate and directed to make a U-turn via the Port Arterial Road.

8. Temporary closure of On Ramp Jatingaleh 1.

Vice President Corporate Secretary & Legal of PT Jasamarga Transjawa Toll Road, Ria Marlinda Paallo, stated that road user safety remains the top priority in every infrastructure handling process.

“We understand that travel comfort and safety are the primary expectations of the public. Therefore, the handling of the JPO at KM 428 is being carried out promptly and systematically, prioritizing safety aspects while ensuring that traffic services on the toll road remain optimal during the works,” said Ria.

Ria also advised road users to anticipate their journeys by utilizing the Travoy application to obtain real-time traffic information and select alternative routes. She also expressed apologies for any inconvenience caused by the traffic arrangements during the handling process.

Traffic flow on the Semarang ABC Toll Road is currently observed to remain smooth, with officers deployed on site. Road users are advised to anticipate their travel routes, comply with traffic signs, and follow officers’ instructions during the works.
