As of H+2 of Return Flow, Traffic Volume Increases by 49.15%, One Way Traffic Scheme Implemented

Cikampek (24/03) – PT Jasamarga Transjawa Toll Road (JTT) recorded high public mobility during the Idulfitri 1447H/2026 return flow period from the eastern part of Trans Java toward Jakarta. During the period from D-Day to H+2 of Idulfitri (March 21–23, 2026), a total of 133,091 vehicles were recorded traveling toward Jakarta via the Cikampek Utama Toll Gate (GT). This traffic volume increased significantly by 49.15% compared to the normal traffic of 89,231 vehicles.

Corporate Secretary & Legal of PT Jasamarga Transjawa Toll Road, Ria Marlinda Paallo, stated, “Meanwhile, based on daily traffic data on March 23, 2026, a total of 75,837 vehicles from the eastern Trans Java region were recorded, an increase of 197.66% compared to normal traffic of 25,478 vehicles. This high traffic volume indicates that the return flow is still ongoing and is expected to continue increasing. In response to these conditions, JTT together with the Police has implemented traffic engineering in the form of a national one way scheme from KM 414 Kalikangkung Toll Gate of the Batang–Semarang Toll Road to KM 70 Cikampek Utama Toll Gate of the Jakarta–Cikampek Toll Road, followed by a local one way scheme from KM 459 of the Semarang–Solo Toll Road to KM 414 Kalikangkung Toll Gate to maintain traffic flow and minimize potential congestion along the Trans Java Toll Road,” explained Ria.

Ria added, “To anticipate the increase in traffic volume during the return flow, JTT is providing alternative travel options for road users by reapplying a 30% toll discount for continuous journeys from Kalikangkung Toll Gate of the Batang–Semarang Toll Road to Cikampek Utama Toll Gate of the Jakarta–Cikampek Toll Road on March 26, 2026 at 00:00 WIB until March 27, 2026 at 24:00 WIB. In addition, a 23% toll discount for all transactions on the Batang–Semarang Toll Road remains in effect from March 12 to March 31, 2026. This policy is expected to help distribute traffic more evenly while providing direct benefits to road users,” said Ria.

Meanwhile, vehicles heading toward the eastern Trans Java region via Cikampek Utama Toll Gate were recorded at 164,271 vehicles, an increase of 93.27% compared to normal traffic of 84,997 vehicles.

Increased traffic volumes were also observed on several toll roads managed by the JTT Group in Central Java and East Java.

Central Java Region
a. Kalikangkung Toll Gate
Vehicles leaving Semarang were recorded at 101,774 (up 112.03% from normal 48,000 vehicles). Meanwhile, vehicles toward Semarang were recorded at 99,866 (up 116.23% from normal 46,186 vehicles).

b. Banyumanik Toll Gate
Traffic toward Jakarta was recorded at 117,451 vehicles (up 91.96% from normal 61,186 vehicles). Meanwhile, traffic toward Solo reached 138,312 vehicles (up 94.84% from normal 70,986 vehicles).

East Java Region
a. Warugunung Toll Gate
Vehicles toward Jakarta were recorded at 105,746 (up 85.13% from normal 57,121 vehicles), while traffic toward Surabaya reached 105,950 vehicles (up 68.79% from normal 62,772 vehicles).

b. Kejapanan Utama Toll Gate
A total of 115,654 vehicles toward Surabaya (up 44.90% from normal 79,818 vehicles), and 117,832 vehicles toward Malang (up 57.93% from normal 74,608 vehicles).

c. Singosari Toll Gate
Vehicles toward Surabaya were recorded at 65,274 (up 51.65% from normal 43,042 vehicles), while traffic toward Malang reached 61,873 vehicles (up 43.84% from normal 43,014 vehicles).

PT JTT urges Trans Java toll road users to continue prioritizing safety, plan their journeys properly, ensure that both vehicle and driver are in prime condition, and ensure sufficient fuel and electronic toll balance before traveling.
