Christmas Day Arrives, JTT Records Highest Traffic Volume Since 18 December 2025
Cikampek (26/12) – Since the start of the 2025/2026 Christmas and New Year (Nataru 2025/2026) holiday period, PT Jasamarga Transjawa Tol has recorded the highest daily traffic volume occurring on Christmas Day, 25 December 2025, with a total of 57,555 vehicles passing through the Cikampek Utama Toll Gate (GT Cikampek Utama) toward the Eastern Trans-Java region. This figure increased significantly by 98.10% compared to normal traffic of 29,054 vehicles, reflecting the high level of public mobility during the Christmas holiday.
PT JTT also recorded a surge in traffic volume during the H-7 to D-Day period (18–25/12) of the Nataru 2025/2026 holiday, with a total of 348,113 vehicles traveling toward the Eastern Trans-Java region through GT Cikampek Utama, or an increase of 49.59% compared to normal traffic of 232,712 vehicles. Meanwhile, vehicles traveling from the Eastern Trans-Java region totaled 229,152 vehicles, or an increase of 1.28% compared to normal traffic of 226,250 vehicles.
Traffic volume also increased on toll road sections managed by JTT in Central Java and East Java as follows:
1.Central Java Region
a. GT Kalikangkung
The volume of vehicles passing through GT Kalikangkung toward Semarang during the H-7 to D-Day period of the Nataru 2025/2026 long holiday reached 208,777 vehicles, an increase of 66.95% compared to normal traffic of 125,052 vehicles. Meanwhile, vehicles leaving Semarang totaled 146,387 vehicles, an increase of 26.33% compared to normal traffic of 115,877 vehicles.
b. GT Banyumanik
During the H-7 to D-Day period of the Nataru 2025/2026 long holiday, a total of 275,827 vehicles traveled toward Solo via GT Banyumanik, an increase of 53.77% compared to normal traffic of 179,372 vehicles. Meanwhile, vehicles heading toward Jakarta totaled 187,983 vehicles, an increase of 28.47% compared to normal traffic of 146,321 vehicles.
2.East Java Region
a. GT Warugunung
During the H-7 to D-Day period of the Nataru 2025/2026 long holiday, a total of 200,097 vehicles traveled toward Surabaya via GT Warugunung, an increase of 28.21% compared to normal traffic of 156,064 vehicles. Meanwhile, vehicles heading toward Jakarta via GT Warugunung totaled 193,287 vehicles, an increase of 24.42% compared to normal traffic of 155,347 vehicles.
b. GT Kejapanan Utama
During the H-7 to D-Day period of the Nataru 2025/2026 long holiday, a total of 231,356 vehicles traveled toward Malang, an increase of 26.26% compared to normal traffic of 183,241 vehicles. Meanwhile, vehicles heading toward Surabaya totaled 225,693 vehicles, an increase of 16.14% compared to normal traffic of 194,335 vehicles.
c. GT Singosari
During the H-7 to D-Day period of the Nataru 2025/2026 long holiday, a total of 130,650 vehicles traveled toward Malang, an increase of 20.97% compared to normal traffic of 108,005 vehicles. Meanwhile, vehicles heading toward Surabaya totaled 119,883 vehicles, an increase of 18.31% compared to normal traffic of 101,333 vehicles.
PT JTT urges Trans-Java toll road users to prioritize safety, choose appropriate travel times, and ensure that both vehicles and drivers are in prime condition. Road users are also advised to ensure sufficient battery power and fuel, as well as adequate electronic toll balance, and to always comply with traffic signs and follow instructions from on-site officers for shared safety.
