Discount Still in Effect, Contraflow Implemented to Smooth Traffic Volume Returning to Jakarta

Cikampek (29/06) – As the final day of the 1 Muharram 1447 H holiday period begins, the 20% toll tariff discount program remains in effect. PT Jasamarga Transjawa Tol (JTT) has recorded an increase in traffic volume passing through the Cikampek Utama Toll Gate (GT) from the Eastern Trans Java region toward Jakarta. To anticipate the surge of return traffic heading to Jakarta, contraflow is still being implemented as of this information being released, following its activation earlier at 17:26 WIB from KM 55 to KM 47 toward Jakarta on the Jakarta–Cikampek Toll Road under Police discretion.

Vice President Corporate Secretary & Legal PT JTT, Ria Marlinda Paallo, stated, “Based on today’s shift 1 data, there has been a 50% increase in vehicles compared to normal traffic, with 10,257 vehicles recorded passing through GT Cikampek Utama. It can also be conveyed that the 20% toll tariff discount policy, which remains effective until 29 June 2025 at 24.00 WIB, has contributed to the smooth distribution of traffic. We observed strong enthusiasm from road users returning from the east through GT Kalikangkung toward GT Cikampek Utama during the discounted tariff period from 27 June 2025 at 00.00 WIB to 28 June 2025 at 24.00 WIB, reaching 12,961 vehicles — an increase of 82.96% compared to normal traffic of 7,084 vehicles. Furthermore, we have prepared operational personnel and traffic service teams on standby 24 hours, and continue active coordination with the Police to expedite response handling of traffic conditions on the ground,” explained Ria.

The implementation of this discount policy has proven effective in optimizing traffic flow and providing direct benefits in the form of travel cost efficiency for road users. PT JTT continues coordinating with the Police and related stakeholders to maintain smooth traffic flow and ensure the safety and comfort of road users during the return traffic period.

Ria further urged toll road users to always prioritize safety, “Traffic volume on the Jakarta–Cikampek Toll Road is observed to be increasing. Therefore, we urge all toll road users to prepare themselves optimally before starting their journey,” said Ria.

Ria also emphasized the importance of ensuring drivers and vehicles are in prime condition, checking battery power and fuel levels, and ensuring sufficient electronic money balance for the trip. “Obey traffic signs and follow the instructions of officers on-site for everyone’s comfort and safety,” she added.

Toll road users can also stay updated on travel information by downloading the Travoy 4.5 application and contacting Jasa Marga’s 24-hour One Call Center at 14080 to obtain the latest traffic information.
