Implementing Open-Close System, JTT Urges Road Users to Manage Rest Time at Rest Area KM 424 B, Semarang Toll Road Sections A, B, C

Semarang (24/03) – PT Jasamarga Transjawa Tol (JTT) announced that an open-close system is currently being implemented at Rest Area KM 424 B, Jakarta-bound direction, on the Semarang Toll Road Sections A, B, C. This policy is applied situationally to anticipate vehicle congestion entering the rest area and to maintain smooth traffic flow on the main carriageway.

Vice President Corporate Secretary & Legal of PT Jasamarga Transjawa Tol, Ria Marlinda Paallo, stated that access regulation at Rest Area KM 424 B is carried out based on real-time traffic conditions and coordination with the Police.

“PT Jasamarga Transjawa Tol is implementing a situational open-close system at Rest Area KM 424 B, Semarang Toll Road Sections A, B, C (Jakarta-bound), under Police discretion. This measure aims to maintain smooth traffic flow on the main road and prevent vehicle queues entering the rest area,” said Ria.

She added, “Visitors to Rest Area KM 424 B are advised to manage their rest time so that facilities can be used alternately by other road users, ensuring orderliness and smooth circulation within the rest area.”

JTT also encourages road users traveling along the Semarang Toll Road Sections A, B, C to utilize alternative rest areas, namely Rest Area KM 360 B and KM 389 B on the Batang–Semarang Toll Road, if Rest Area KM 424 B is temporarily closed. Road users are also advised to refuel fully and prepare sufficient provisions before entering the toll road.

All road users are reminded to ensure that both vehicle and driver are in optimal condition before traveling, maintain a safe distance, comply with traffic signs and officers’ instructions, and ensure sufficient electronic toll balance.
