Return Flow of the 2026 Ascension of Jesus Christ Long Holiday Begins to Increase, Vehicles Towards Jakarta Rise by 23% at Cikampek Utama Toll Gate
Cikampek (17/05) – PT Jasamarga Transjawa Tol (JTT) recorded an increase in traffic volume during the return flow period of the 2026 Ascension of Jesus Christ long holiday. During the H+2 period (May 16, 2026) of the Ascension of Jesus Christ holiday, a total of 33,991 vehicles were recorded traveling from the Eastern Trans Java region towards Jakarta through the Cikampek Utama Toll Gate. This figure increased by 23.43% compared to the normal traffic volume of 27,539 vehicles.
Corporate Secretary & Legal of PT Jasamarga Transjawa Tol, Ria Marlinda Paallo, stated, “Meanwhile, vehicles traveling towards the Eastern Trans Java region through the Cikampek Utama Toll Gate recorded a decrease during the same period, totaling 28,004 vehicles, down 12.68% compared to the normal traffic volume of 32,070 vehicles,” said Ria.
Increased vehicle volume was also observed on several toll road sections managed by JTT Group in the Central Java and East Java regions.
Central Java Region
a. Kalikangkung Toll Gate
Vehicles leaving Semarang towards Jakarta totaled 18,386 vehicles (up 25.18% from the normal volume of 14,688 vehicles). Meanwhile, vehicles heading towards Semarang totaled 14,061 vehicles (down 20.11% from the normal volume of 17,600 vehicles).
b. Banyumanik Toll Gate
Traffic heading towards Jakarta totaled 24,930 vehicles (up 27.36% from the normal volume of 19,574 vehicles). Meanwhile, traffic towards Solo reached 24,956 vehicles (down 9.85% from the normal volume of 27,682 vehicles).
East Java Region
a. Warugunung Toll Gate
Vehicles heading towards Jakarta totaled 20,209 vehicles (up 0.47% from the normal volume of 20,115 vehicles), while traffic towards Surabaya reached 21,375 vehicles (down 0.27% from the normal volume of 21,432 vehicles).
b. Kejapanan Utama Toll Gate
A total of 28,204 vehicles were recorded heading towards Surabaya (up 3.43% from the normal volume of 27,269 vehicles), while 26,320 vehicles were heading towards Malang (down 8.55% from the normal volume of 28,782 vehicles).
c. Singosari Toll Gate
Vehicles heading towards Surabaya totaled 15,752 vehicles (up 12.11% from the normal volume of 14,051 vehicles), while traffic towards Malang reached 15,994 vehicles (down 9.73% from the normal volume of 17,718 vehicles).
PT JTT urges Trans Java toll road users to continue prioritizing safety, plan their journeys properly, ensure both vehicles and drivers are in prime condition, and confirm sufficient fuel and electronic money balance before traveling.
