High Enthusiasm for 30% Toll Discount, 315 Thousand Vehicles from East Trans Java Pass Through Cikampek Utama Toll Gate

Cikampek (26/03) – PT Jasamarga Transjawa Toll (JTT) recorded high return flow mobility during Idulfitri 1447H/2026 from the East Trans Java region toward Jakarta, which was also driven by the implementation of a 30% toll discount. During the period from Day H to H+4 of Idulfitri (March 21–25, 2026), a total of 315,220 vehicles were recorded traveling toward Jakarta via the Cikampek Utama Toll Gate (GT). This traffic volume increased significantly by 124.18% compared to normal traffic of 140,611 vehicles, reflecting strong public enthusiasm in utilizing the tariff stimulus as well as the return flow momentum.

Corporate Secretary & Legal of PT Jasamarga Transjawa Toll, Ria Marlinda Paallo, stated, “To anticipate the increase in vehicle volume during the return flow, JTT provides alternative travel options for road users by reapplying a 30% toll discount for continuous journeys from the Kalikangkung Toll Gate on the Batang–Semarang Toll Road to the Cikampek Utama Toll Gate on the Jakarta–Cikampek Toll Road on March 26, 2026, from 00:00 WIB until March 27, 2026, at 24:00 WIB. In addition, a 23% toll discount for all transactions on the Batang–Semarang Toll Road remains in effect from March 12 to March 31, 2026. This policy is expected to help distribute traffic more evenly while providing direct benefits to road users,” explained Ria.

Ria added, “Meanwhile, based on traffic data from the H-10 to H+4 period (March 11–25, 2026), a total of 491,285 vehicles were recorded from the East Trans Java region, an increase of 18.08% compared to normal traffic of 416,056 vehicles. Meanwhile, based on shift 1 data on March 26, 2026, a total of 21,910 vehicles were recorded, an increase of 168.01% compared to the normal volume of 8,175 vehicles. This high traffic volume indicates that the return flow movement is still ongoing and is expected to continue increasing. In line with these conditions, JTT together with the Police had implemented a local one way from KM 425+800 to KM 422 on the Semarang Section A,B,C Toll Road to maintain smooth traffic flow and minimize congestion potential along the Trans Java Toll Road,” said Ria.

Meanwhile, for vehicles heading toward the East Trans Java region via the Cikampek Utama Toll Gate, a total of 206,785 vehicles were recorded, an increase of 49.77% compared to normal traffic of 138,072 vehicles.

An increase in traffic volume was also observed on several toll road sections managed by the JTT Group in Central Java and East Java.

Central Java Region
a. Kalikangkung Toll Gate
Vehicles leaving Semarang were recorded at 217,055 vehicles (an increase of 186.61% from the normal 75,733 vehicles). Meanwhile, vehicles heading toward Semarang were recorded at 109,523 vehicles (an increase of 44.23% from the normal 75,934 vehicles).

b. Banyumanik Toll Gate
Traffic heading toward Jakarta reached 231,980 vehicles (an increase of 147.51% from the normal 93,725 vehicles). Meanwhile, traffic toward Solo reached 178,097 vehicles (an increase of 60.97% from the normal 110,639 vehicles).

East Java Region
a. Warugunung Toll Gate
Vehicles heading toward Jakarta were recorded at 161,825 vehicles (an increase of 74.83% from the normal 92,563 vehicles), while traffic toward Surabaya reached 186,183 vehicles (an increase of 86.61% from the normal 99,772 vehicles).

b. Kejapanan Utama Toll Gate
A total of 198,123 vehicles headed toward Surabaya (an increase of 59.10% from the normal 124,531 vehicles), and 187,624 vehicles headed toward Malang (an increase of 62.94% from the normal 115,150 vehicles).

c. Singosari Toll Gate
Vehicles heading toward Surabaya were recorded at 112,465 vehicles (an increase of 75.34% from the normal 64,142 vehicles), while traffic toward Malang reached 100,097 vehicles (an increase of 51.35% from the normal 66,135 vehicles).
