Public Enthusiasm During School Holiday, Kejapanan Toll Gate Becomes a Favorite for Road Users

Surabaya (15/07) — The Kejapanan Toll Gate (GT), managed by PT Jasamarga Transjawa Tol (JTT) through Representative Office 3 of the Surabaya–Gempol Toll Road, has become a favorite choice for road users taking advantage of the holiday period to travel to various destinations across East Java. Public enthusiasm has been visible since the start of the holiday period, especially with the implementation of a 20% toll tariff discount program held from 11–13 July 2025.

Vice President Corporate Secretary & Legal of PT JTT, Ria Marlinda Paallo, reported an increase in vehicle mobility along the eastern section of Trans Java during the three-day discount period. “On 13 July 2025, a total of 10.689 vehicles passed through GT Singosari toward GT Kejapanan, or an increase of 66.78% compared to the normal traffic volume of 6.409 vehicles. This condition reflects the high interest and trust of the public in toll roads as the main route during holidays,” she said.

Senior Manager Representative Office 3 PT JTT, Agus Susilo, explained that anticipatory measures to handle traffic surges during the school holiday at GT Kejapanan were carried out by fully operating all service booths, including 17 Automated Toll Gates (GTO), 10 Oblique Approach Booths (OAB), and 8 Mobile Readers (MR) for 24 hours. This arrangement was supported by on-site service personnel to ensure a quick response around the toll gate area. “Our focus is to create a safe, comfortable, and smooth travel experience. Seeing the high public enthusiasm, we remain committed to maintaining consistent service quality,” he explained.

PT JTT advises all road users to anticipate travel time, ensure their vehicles are in proper condition, maintain sufficient electronic money balance, and check their battery charge and fuel before starting their journey. Always be cautious and obey traffic signs, especially around work zones.
