Enthusiasm of 55 Thousand Vehicles from the Eastern Trans Java Region, JTT Strengthens Return Flow Services on the Jakarta–Cikampek Toll Road
Cikampek (29/12) – Along with the high enthusiasm during the return flow of the 2025 Christmas holiday, PT Jasamarga Transjawa Tol (JTT) recorded a significant increase in traffic volume of vehicles returning from the Eastern Trans Java region. During the H+3 period of Christmas 2025, Sunday (28/12), a total of 55,729 vehicles from the Eastern Trans Java region passed through Cikampek Utama Toll Gate (GT), an increase of 46.16% compared to normal traffic of 38,130 vehicles. In response to this condition, JTT strengthened return flow services, particularly on the Jakarta–Cikampek Toll Road, to ensure smooth and safe travel for road users.
Meanwhile, the number of vehicles heading toward the Eastern Trans Java region remained relatively high, with 35,216 vehicles recorded, an increase of 37.29% compared to normal traffic of 25,651 vehicles.
PT JTT strengthened operational readiness on the Jakarta–Cikampek Toll Road through the optimization of traffic and transaction services. Service enhancement was carried out by deploying additional field personnel, operating 22 toll booths at Cikampek Utama Toll Gate (GT) toward Jakarta, and managing vehicle flow at strategic points prone to congestion, particularly around Cikampek Utama Toll Gate and the main sections leading to the Greater Jakarta area. In addition, traffic engineering in the form of contraflow was implemented situationally under Police discretion to maintain smooth return flow traffic and anticipate increased vehicle volumes.
