Anticipating Increased Traffic During the Christmas and New Year Return Period, JTT Adds Transaction Capacity at GT Cikatama 8 on a Situational Basis

Cikampek (12/29), PT Jasamarga Transjawa Tol (JTT) has taken anticipatory measures to manage increased traffic by operating an additional 5 lanes at the Cikampek Utama Toll Gate (GT) (Cikatama) 8 KM 71 B towards Jakarta on the Jakarta–Cikampek Toll Road on a situational basis during the 2024 Christmas and 2025 New Year (Nataru) return travel period.

This additional transaction capacity is expected to support smoother traffic flow during the Nataru return period. This toll gate is equipped with 5 transaction booths, consisting of 3 booths dedicated to Class I non-bus vehicles and 2 booths serving multiple vehicle classes.

Vice President Corporate Secretary & Legal PT JTT, Ria Marlinda Paallo, explained the operation of GT Cikatama 8. “Today, additional transaction capacity on the Jakarta–Cikampek Toll Road heading to Jakarta has been implemented by opening 5 booths at Cikatama 8 Toll Gate. This toll gate is opened situationally as an anticipation effort to handle the increase in traffic volume heading to Jakarta. As information, as of December 28, 2024, vehicles entering from the Eastern Trans Java region since December 26, 2024 reached 106,097 vehicles. This indicates an increase of 32.7% compared to normal traffic,” explained Ria.

Ria added, “However, we urge road users to continue following the directions of field officers as the operation of this toll gate is carried out situationally,” concluded Ria.

PT JTT urges all road users to prioritize safety, plan their trips, ensure their vehicles are in proper condition, maintain sufficient electronic payment balance, recharge devices and refuel before starting their trip, and bring supplies to avoid congestion at rest areas. Always drive carefully, obey traffic signs, and follow on-site officer directions.

Toll road users can also stay updated with travel information by downloading the Travoy 4.4 application and contacting the 24-hour Jasa Marga Group One Call Center at 14080 to obtain the latest traffic information.
