471 Thousand Vehicles from Eastern Trans Java Pass Through Cikampek Utama Toll Gate, Traffic Engineering Optimized

Cikampek (27/03) – PT Jasamarga Transjawa Tol (JTT) recorded high return flow mobility during the Eid al-Fitr 1447H/2026 period from the eastern Trans Java region towards Jakarta. During the period from D-Day to D+6 of Eid (March 21–27, 2026), a total of 471,099 vehicles were recorded heading towards Jakarta through Cikampek Utama Toll Gate (GT), a significant increase of 141.41% compared to normal traffic of 195,144 vehicles. This increase indicates that the return flow is still ongoing and being distributed gradually.

Corporate Secretary & Legal of PT Jasamarga Transjawa Tol, Ria Marlinda Paallo, stated, “Based on traffic data from the period H-10 to H+6 (March 11–27, 2026), a total of 647,164 vehicles from the eastern Trans Java region were recorded, an increase of 37.52% compared to normal traffic of 470,589 vehicles. Meanwhile, based on shift 1 data on March 28, 2026, 17,955 vehicles were recorded, an increase of 104.78% from normal traffic of 8,768 vehicles. This data shows that the return flow from the eastern Trans Java region is still ongoing,” explained Ria.

Ria added, “To anticipate the increase in vehicle volume during the return flow period, various traffic engineering measures have been implemented, including a local one way from KM 263 of the Pejagan–Pemalang Toll Road to KM 70 of Cikampek Utama Toll Gate on the Jakarta–Cikampek Toll Road under Police discretion, followed by contraflow from KM 70 to KM 47 towards Jakarta. In addition, a local one way was also implemented in Semarang with the furthest route from KM 420 Banyumanik Toll Gate on the Semarang–Solo Toll Road to KM 414 Kalikangkung Toll Gate on the Batang–Semarang Toll Road. JTT through PT Jasamarga Semarang Batang also continues to provide travel alternatives through a 23% toll discount for all transactions on the Batang–Semarang Toll Road, valid until March 31, 2026. This policy is expected to help distribute traffic more evenly while providing direct benefits to road users,” said Ria.

Meanwhile, vehicles heading towards the eastern Trans Java region via Cikampek Utama Toll Gate were recorded at 260,935 vehicles, an increase of 31.72% compared to normal traffic of 198,098 vehicles.

The increase in vehicle volume was also observed on several toll road sections managed by the JTT Group in Central Java and East Java regions.

Central Java Region
a. Kalikangkung Toll Gate
Vehicles leaving Semarang were recorded at 316,153 vehicles (up 198.91% from normal 105,767 vehicles). Meanwhile, vehicles heading towards Semarang were recorded at 139,347 vehicles (up 25.63% from normal 110,918 vehicles).

b. Banyumanik Toll Gate
Traffic towards Jakarta reached 329,614 vehicles (up 157.14% from normal 128,186 vehicles). Meanwhile, traffic towards Solo reached 227,789 vehicles (up 44.72% from normal 157,396 vehicles).

East Java Region
a. Warugunung Toll Gate
Vehicles towards Jakarta were recorded at 212,887 vehicles (up 61.98% from normal 131,426 vehicles), while traffic towards Surabaya reached 240,354 vehicles (up 72.05% from normal 139,699 vehicles).

b. Kejapanan Utama Toll Gate
A total of 261,772 vehicles headed towards Surabaya (up 53.12% from normal 170,958 vehicles), and 242,821 vehicles towards Malang (up 50.96% from normal 160,847 vehicles).

c. Singosari Toll Gate
Vehicles towards Surabaya were recorded at 143,412 vehicles (up 63.97% from normal 87,461 vehicles), while traffic towards Malang reached 132,872 vehicles (up 43.77% from normal 92,421 vehicles).
