2 Favorite Trans Java Toll Gates Successfully Served Road Users During the 2025 Christmas and New Year Homecoming and Return Traffic
Cikampek (08/01), Two favorite toll gates on the Trans Java Toll Road, namely the Cikampek Utama Toll Gate operated by PT Jasamarga Transjawa Tol (JTT) and the Kalikangkung Toll Gate operated by PT Jasamarga Semarang Batang, successfully served hundreds of thousands of vehicles smoothly during the 2024 Christmas and 2025 New Year (Nataru) holiday homecoming and return traffic period.
The Cikampek Utama Toll Gate plays an important role as the main access to and from the Trans Java corridor, while the Kalikangkung Toll Gate serves as the primary gateway to the Central Java and East Java regions. The data recorded indicates an increase in vehicle volume at both toll gates.
During the Nataru holiday period from December 18, 2024 to January 5, 2025, PT JTT recorded a total of 714,547 vehicles heading toward the Eastern Trans Java Region through the Cikampek Utama Toll Gate, an increase of 33.57% compared to normal traffic of 534,945 vehicles. Meanwhile, 692,352 vehicles were recorded entering from the Eastern Trans Java Region, an increase of 29.67% from the normal traffic volume of 533,924 vehicles.
The traffic volume at Kalikangkung Toll Gate heading to Semarang during the Nataru holiday period from December 18, 2024 to January 5, 2025 was recorded at 409,909 vehicles, an increase of 51.02% from the normal volume of 271,425 vehicles. For vehicles leaving Semarang, 407,249 vehicles were recorded, or an increase of 53.30% from the normal volume of 265,659 vehicles.
This success cannot be separated from collaborative efforts involving various stakeholders. Strategic measures implemented included enhancing service capacity, traffic engineering, and providing real-time information. PT JTT remains committed to continuously improving service quality on the Trans Java Toll Road, through service innovations, real-time information delivery, and infrastructure upgrades that will become priorities in the coming years.

Furthermore, Ria stated, “We also appreciate the discipline of road users who complied with traffic regulations while on the toll road. By following signs and officers’ directions on-site, travel became safer, more comfortable, and smoother for everyone. The active participation of road users is one of the key factors behind PT JTT's success in realizing a ‘Fun Nataru Holiday’ experience along the Trans Java Toll Road,” added Ria.
