523 Thousand Vehicles Pass Through Cikampek Utama Toll Gate, Mobility to Eastern Trans Java Surges Significantly

Cikampek (19/03) – PT Jasamarga Transjawa Tol (JTT) recorded a significant surge in public mobility during the Idulfitri 1447H/2026 homecoming flow toward the eastern Trans Java region. In line with this, JTT together with the Police has optimized the implementation of traffic engineering measures in the form of national one way and local one way to maintain smooth vehicle flow. During the H-10 to H-3 period (March 11–18, 2026), a total of 523,223 vehicles were recorded traveling eastbound through the Cikampek Utama Toll Gate (GT). This traffic volume increased significantly by 132.38% compared to the normal traffic volume of 225,159 vehicles.

Corporate Secretary & Legal of PT Jasamarga Transjawa Tol, Ria Marlinda Paallo, stated, “Meanwhile, for traffic on March 18, 2026, a total of 135,772 vehicles were recorded passing through, a significant increase of 401.73% compared to the normal traffic volume of 27,061 vehicles. This achievement exceeded the previously established projections. Compared to the same period in 2025, the traffic volume also increased by 7.31% from 126,518 vehicles,” explained Ria.

Ria added, “As an effort to anticipate the surge in traffic volume, JTT together with the Police has implemented various integrated traffic engineering measures. These include contraflow from KM 36 to KM 70 toward Cikampek on the Jakarta–Cikampek Toll Road, followed by the implementation of a national one way from KM 70 Cikampek Utama Toll Gate to KM 414 Kalikangkung Toll Gate, as well as a local one way from KM 414 Kalikangkung Toll Gate to KM 459 on the Semarang–Solo Toll Road. In addition, to support smooth vehicle flow toward Trans Java, JTT has also operated 22 toll booths and 16 mobile reader units at the Cikampek Utama Toll Gate. The operation of toll booths and mobile readers is carried out optimally and situationally, adjusting to the dynamics of traffic volume in the field to ensure smooth transactions and minimize vehicle queues at the toll gate,” explained Ria.

Ria further added, “This service enhancement is also supported by a 23% toll tariff discount for all transactions on the Batang–Semarang Toll Road, which has been in effect from March 12 to March 31, 2026. This policy is expected to help distribute traffic flow and provide direct benefits to road users,” said Ria.

Meanwhile, vehicles traveling from the eastern Trans Java region toward Jakarta via the Cikampek Utama Toll Gate decreased to 172,082 vehicles, down by 22.10% compared to the normal traffic volume of 220,912 vehicles.

An increase in traffic volume was also observed on several toll road sections managed by JTT Group in Central Java and East Java.

Central Java Region
a. Kalikangkung Toll Gate
Vehicles heading toward Semarang reached 271,388 vehicles (up 114.63% from the normal 126,445 vehicles). Meanwhile, vehicles leaving Semarang reached 105,780 vehicles (down 11.73% from the normal 119,832 vehicles).

b. Banyumanik Toll Gate
Traffic heading toward Solo reached 303,178 vehicles (up 70.70% from the normal 177,610 vehicles). Meanwhile, traffic toward Jakarta reached 140,177 vehicles (down 3.15% from the normal 144,731 vehicles).

East Java Region
a. Warugunung Toll Gate
Vehicles heading toward Surabaya reached 189,416 vehicles (up 19.29% from the normal 158,791 vehicles), while traffic toward Jakarta reached 192,062 vehicles (up 28.45% from the normal 149,522 vehicles).

b. Kejapanan Utama Toll Gate
A total of 195,741 vehicles headed toward Malang (up 7.56% from the normal 181,985 vehicles), and 197,585 vehicles headed toward Surabaya (up 1.43% from the normal 194,803 vehicles).

c. Singosari Toll Gate
Vehicles heading toward Malang reached 107,208 vehicles (up 2.76% from the normal 104,326 vehicles), while traffic toward Surabaya reached 101,263 vehicles (up 3.33% from the normal 97,999 vehicles).

PT JTT urges Trans Java toll road users to prioritize safety, plan their journeys properly, ensure that both vehicle and driver are in prime condition, and ensure sufficient fuel and electronic toll balance before traveling.
