Traffic Back to Normal, JTT Terminates Contraflow Traffic Engineering KM 36 to KM 70 Toward Cikampek on Jakarta–Cikampek Toll Road

Cikampek (20/03) - PT Jasamarga Transjawa Tol (JTT) announces that the contraflow traffic engineering on the Jakarta–Cikampek Toll Road toward Cikampek from KM 36 to KM 70, which had previously been implemented situationally with an open-close scheme since March 17, 2026, has officially been terminated under Police discretion.

Currently, traffic conditions on the Jakarta–Cikampek Toll Road have returned to normal in both directions.

Vice President Corporate Secretary & Legal of PT Jasamarga Transjawa Tol, Ria Marlinda Paallo, stated that the termination of the traffic engineering was carried out after considering the development of traffic volume, which has shown more controlled conditions. “Previously, the contraflow traffic engineering had been implemented situationally with an open-close scheme since March 17, 2026. Based on traffic monitoring in the field, the peak traffic volume occurred on March 18, 2026. Subsequently, from shift 3 on March 19, 2026 until March 20, 2026, traffic volume in both directions has been observed to be relatively under control, allowing for traffic normalization and the termination of contraflow,” said Ria.

Ria added, “We urge all Trans Java toll road users to continue prioritizing safety during their journey, ensure that both driver and vehicle are in prime condition, and that power, fuel, and electronic toll balance are sufficient before entering the toll road. Road users are also expected to comply with traffic signs and follow instructions from officers on site,” added Ria.
