Traffic Engineering Optimized, 290 Thousand Vehicles Pass Cikampek Utama Toll Gate Eastbound

Cikampek (17/03) – PT Jasamarga Transjawa Tol (JTT) has optimized the implementation of traffic engineering measures in line with the increasing mobility of the public towards the eastern Trans Java region. During the H-10 to H-5 period (March 11–16, 2026), a total of 290,799 vehicles were recorded traveling eastbound through Cikampek Utama Toll Gate. This traffic volume increased significantly by 68.99% compared to the normal traffic volume of 172,084 vehicles.

Corporate Secretary & Legal of PT Jasamarga Transjawa Tol, Ria Marlinda Paallo, stated, “To anticipate this surge, JTT in coordination with the Police has implemented traffic engineering measures in the form of a local one way scheme, also referred to as Phase I one way, from KM 70 of the Jakarta–Cikampek Toll Road Section to KM 263 of the Pejagan–Pemalang Toll Road Section since 15.18 WIB. This was followed by the implementation of a contraflow scheme from KM 55 to KM 70 towards Cikampek on the Jakarta–Cikampek Toll Road Section since 20.43 WIB. In addition, to support the smooth flow of vehicles towards Trans Java, JTT is operating 22 toll booths at Cikampek Utama Toll Gate. The operation of these booths is carried out optimally and situationally, in accordance with traffic volume dynamics on the field, to ensure smooth transactions and minimize vehicle queues at the toll gate,” explained Ria.

Ria added, “In light of the traffic surge and high public enthusiasm during the Idulfitri 1447H/2026 holiday period, a 23% toll tariff discount for all transactions on the Batang–Semarang Section remains in effect from March 12 to March 31, 2026. This policy is expected to help distribute traffic more evenly while providing direct benefits to road users,” said Ria.

Meanwhile, vehicles traveling from the eastern Trans Java region towards Jakarta through Cikampek Utama Toll Gate recorded a decrease, with a total of 161,129 vehicles, down 4.96% compared to the normal traffic volume of 169,532 vehicles.

An increase in traffic volume was also observed across several toll road sections managed by the JTT Group in Central Java and East Java.

Central Java Region
a. Kalikangkung Toll Gate
Vehicles heading towards Semarang were recorded at 153,113 vehicles (up 58.34% from the normal volume of 96,697 vehicles). Meanwhile, vehicles leaving Semarang were recorded at 93,820 vehicles (up 1.87% from the normal volume of 92,099 vehicles).

b. Banyumanik Toll Gate
Traffic heading towards Solo was recorded at 184,211 vehicles (up 33.53% from the normal volume of 137,957 vehicles). Meanwhile, traffic heading towards Jakarta reached 112,424 vehicles (up 0.21% from the normal volume of 112,192 vehicles).

East Java Region
a. Warugunung Toll Gate
Vehicles heading towards Surabaya were recorded at 136,817 vehicles (up 12.34% from the normal volume of 121,791 vehicles), while traffic heading towards Jakarta reached 129,525 vehicles (up 13.54% from the normal volume of 114,080 vehicles).

b. Kejapanan Utama Toll Gate
A total of 137,714 vehicles were recorded heading towards Malang (down 2.64% from the normal volume of 141,443 vehicles), and 144,005 vehicles heading towards Surabaya (down 4.05% from the normal volume of 150,090 vehicles).

c. Singosari Toll Gate
Vehicles heading towards Malang were recorded at 77,784 vehicles (down 4.21% from the normal volume of 81,205 vehicles), while traffic heading towards Surabaya reached 74,890 vehicles (down 2.61% from the normal volume of 76,899 vehicles).

PT JTT urges Trans Java toll road users to continue prioritizing safety, plan their journeys properly, ensure that both vehicle and driver are in optimal condition, and ensure sufficient fuel and electronic money balance before traveling.
