Commemorating World Environment Day 2026, JTT Strengthens Its Commitment to Greening the Trans Java Corridor Through the Planting of 1,000 Trees

Bekasi (09/06) – In commemoration of World Environment Day 2026, PT Jasamarga Transjawa Tol (JTT) reaffirmed its commitment to environmental conservation and sustainable development through a greening program across its Trans Java Toll Road operational areas.

As part of a collaborative effort to support the greening initiative across the JTT Group, on Monday (08/06), JTT symbolically handed over tree seedlings to its subsidiary companies. The event marked the beginning of a collaborative effort to achieve the target of planting 1,000 trees throughout 2026 while reinforcing the shared commitment to creating greener, more sustainable, and environmentally friendly workplaces and toll road corridors.

Vice President of Corporate Secretary & Legal of PT Jasamarga Transjawa Tol, Ria Marlinda Paallo, stated that environmental conservation is an essential aspect of supporting sustainable toll road operations.

“World Environment Day serves as a reminder that infrastructure development must go hand in hand with environmental conservation. As the operator of 676 kilometers of the Trans Java Toll Road, JTT has the responsibility to create added value not only by enhancing connectivity but also through tangible contributions to environmental sustainability. Through our program to plant 1,000 trees across the Trans Java corridor throughout 2026, we are committed to supporting the development of greener, more comfortable, and more sustainable toll road corridors,” said Ria.

In addition to the tree-planting program, JTT has also established a nursery facility at the PT Jasamarga Transjawa Tol Head Office. The nursery serves as the company's initiative to independently provide plant seedlings in support of sustainable greening programs across all operational areas.

The JTT nursery will be utilized for cultivating various types of plants and trees that will later be used for greening activities within the office environment. In addition to functioning as a plant propagation center, the facility is also expected to serve as an environmental education platform for employees and stakeholders.

Going forward, JTT will continue to develop sustainability initiatives aligned with Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles, including environmental management, resource efficiency, and strengthening environmental awareness throughout its Trans Java operational areas.

Through the spirit of World Environment Day 2026, JTT invites all employees and members of the public to work together in preserving the environment to create a greener, more sustainable future that will benefit generations to come.
