Eastbound Traffic on Trans Java Increases by 33% as Vehicles Pass Cikampek Utama Toll Gate on D-3 of Lunar New Year 2026

Cikampek (15/02) – PT Jasamarga Transjawa Tol (JTT) reported significant traffic movement during the 2026 Lunar New Year Holiday period. During the D-4 to D-3 period (February 13–14, 2026), a total of 85,483 vehicles were recorded traveling toward the Eastern Trans Java region through the Cikampek Utama Toll Gate (GT), an increase of 33.20% compared to normal traffic of 64,175 vehicles.

VP Corporate Secretary & Legal of PT Jasamarga Transjawa Tol, Ria Marlinda Paallo, stated, “In the opposite direction, vehicle movement from the Eastern Trans Java region through Cikampek Utama Toll Gate reached 59,622 vehicles, up 6.28% compared to normal traffic of 56,098 vehicles,” explained Ria.

Traffic volume also showed an increase on toll road sections managed by the JTT Group in the Central Java and East Java regions.

1..Central Java Region
a. Kalikangkung Toll Gate
During the same period, vehicles heading toward Semarang reached 49,305 vehicles (up 36.00% from the normal 36,255 vehicles). Meanwhile, vehicles leaving Semarang totaled 34,558 vehicles (up 15.27% from the normal 29,979 vehicles).

b. Banyumanik Toll Gate
Traffic heading toward Solo through Banyumanik Toll Gate recorded 67,054 vehicles (up 26.13% from the normal 53,162 vehicles). For the Jakarta-bound direction, 44,414 vehicles were recorded (up 17.03% from the normal 37,951 vehicles).

2.East Java Region
a. Warugunung Toll Gate
Vehicles heading toward Surabaya totaled 47,998 vehicles (up 13.67% from the normal 42,226 vehicles), while the Jakarta-bound direction reached 52,951 vehicles (up 29.92% from the normal 40,757 vehicles).

b. Kejapanan Utama Toll Gate
A total of 60,115 vehicles were recorded heading toward Malang (up 13.08% from the normal 53,163 vehicles), and 55,392 vehicles heading toward Surabaya (up 8.35% from the normal 51,121 vehicles).

c. Singosari Toll Gate
During D-4 to D-3 of the 2026 Lunar New Year Holiday, vehicles heading toward Malang totaled 34,793 vehicles (up 8.27% from the normal 32,134 vehicles), while the Surabaya-bound direction reached 29,155 vehicles (up 11.44% from the normal 26,162 vehicles).

PT JTT urges Trans Java toll road users to continue prioritizing safety, plan their journeys carefully, ensure that both vehicle and driver are in prime condition, and check sufficient fuel and electronic toll balance before traveling. Compliance with traffic signs and officers’ instructions in the field is essential to ensure smooth traffic flow and collective safety.
