Adjustment of Return Flow Traffic Engineering on Jakarta–Cikampek Toll Road

Cikampek (27/03) – PT Jasamarga Transjawa Tol (JTT), in coordination with the Police, has made adjustments to traffic engineering measures to anticipate the increase in vehicle volume during the Idulfitri 1447H/2026 return flow period on the Jakarta–Cikampek Toll Road.

Based on Police discretion, the contraflow scheme that was previously implemented with 1 lane has been extended to 2 lanes on the KM 70 to KM 47 segment toward Jakarta at 18:05 WIB. This adjustment was made to maintain smooth traffic flow, which has significantly increased from the Trans Java direction toward Jakarta.

In addition, a situational traffic diversion has also been implemented by directing some vehicles to exit via the Karawang Barat Toll Gate at KM 47 toward Cikampek on the Jakarta–Cikampek Toll Road. This measure aims to reduce congestion on the main road and accelerate vehicle distribution.

Vice President Corporate Secretary & Legal of JTT, Ria Marlinda Paallo, stated that this adjustment is a responsive effort to dynamic field conditions. “JTT, together with the Police, continues to monitor traffic conditions intensively and make situational adjustments to traffic engineering measures to ensure that the return flow remains smooth and safe,” said Ria.

JTT has also deployed operational personnel in the field to manage traffic, assist road users, and ensure travel safety and comfort. Traffic conditions are monitored in real time through CCTV integrated with the traffic control center.

JTT urges all road users to plan their travel time properly, comply with traffic signs and officers’ directions, and ensure that their vehicles are in prime condition and that electronic money balances are sufficient before traveling.
