Sustainable Road Maintenance, JTT Strengthens Proactive Inspections Amid High Rainfall
Cikampek, (28/01) – PT Jasamarga Transjawa Tol (JTT) recognizes that travel comfort and safety are the aspects most directly experienced by road users. Therefore, JTT continues to carry out gradual, measurable, and sustainable maintenance and pothole repairs, particularly amid high rainfall conditions along the Jakarta–Cikampek Toll Road.
On Tuesday night (27/01), JTT completed repairs at several priority locations. Further handling will continue today at additional points. The number of repair locations reported represents preliminary data and will continue to be updated as inspection teams are currently conducting on-site road condition assessments.
Vice President Corporate Secretary & Legal of PT Jasamarga Transjawa Tol (JTT), Ria Marlinda Paallo, stated, “Repair works have been carried out gradually in accordance with safety priorities. Last night, we handled 150 points ranging from KM 14+850 to KM 72+400, including key connectivity areas such as the Off Ramp and Bekasi Timur 1 exit access, Karawang Barat On Ramp toward Jakarta, Off/On Ramps and Karawang Timur 2 Toll Gate, as well as the Cikampek On Ramp,” explained Ria.
Ria added, “These efforts will continue, and today (28/01) repair works are being conducted again across a total of 50 handling points. The works cover the section from KM 64+150 to KM 53+550, including specific points such as the shoulder at KM 62+500 and bridge joints at KM 53+580 and KM 53+550. Maintenance is also being carried out from KM 43+550 to KM 39+050, covering several works on Lane 3 and segments with relatively extensive work ranges,” she added.
JTT continues to conduct periodic inspections to ensure that all follow-up actions in the field are implemented properly, while also identifying potential road damage at an early stage. Every input and complaint from road users is given attention and followed up with direct on-site checks to ensure appropriate and sustainable handling.
As an anticipatory measure in response to high rainfall intensity, JTT has also adjusted its maintenance work pattern. Maintenance hours have been extended to 10:00–16:00 WIB, in addition to the previous focus on 22:00–05:00 WIB, to strengthen response readiness and accelerate on-site handling in accordance with weather conditions.
JTT extends its apologies to all road users for any inconvenience caused by potholes that may affect travel comfort, including during the repair and maintenance process. JTT also expresses its appreciation for the public’s attention and information, which play an important role in supporting faster on-site handling.
JTT urges road users to remain cautious, pay attention to traffic signs and officers’ instructions on site, maintain a safe distance, and adjust speed, especially when passing through work areas, for shared safety. JTT will continue to provide regular updates through its official channels as part of its commitment to serving road users wholeheartedly. The latest information on traffic conditions across Jasa Marga Group toll road sections can be accessed through the 24-hour One Call Center at 14080 and the TRAVOY application available on iOS and Android.
