Optimization of Cikampek Utama Toll Gate, JTT Supports Gradual Implementation of One Way Scheme During Return Flow
Cikampek (27/03) – PT Jasamarga Transjawa Tol (JTT) has optimized services at the Cikampek Utama Toll Gate (GT), a crucial point during the return flow, while supporting the gradual implementation of local one way traffic engineering along the Trans Java Toll Road to reduce vehicle congestion during the Idulfitri 1447H/2026 period.
Previously, the local one way traffic scheme was implemented in stages starting from KM 132 of the Cikopo–Palimanan Toll Road to KM 70 Cikampek Utama Toll Gate on the Jakarta–Cikampek Toll Road at 08:47 WIB. Furthermore, at 10:23 WIB, the local one way scheme was expanded from KM 263 of the Pejagan–Pemalang Toll Road to KM 70 Cikampek Utama Toll Gate on the Jakarta–Cikampek Toll Road.
This implementation was officially initiated by the Minister of Transportation, Dudy Purwagandhi, via radio communication as part of field traffic control coordination. The traffic engineering measure is situational, based on Police discretion, and will continue to be evaluated in accordance with real-time traffic conditions.
As part of service optimization, Cikampek Utama Toll Gate, serving as the final barrier for vehicles coming from the eastern Trans Java region, is currently operating 22 toll booths to accommodate traffic heading toward Jakarta. JTT will continue to adjust toll booth operations as needed, including increasing capacity up to 26 booths to anticipate traffic surges.
Vice President Corporate Secretary & Legal of JTT, Ria Marlinda Paallo, stated that JTT has optimized all operational resources to support the smooth implementation of this traffic scheme. “JTT fully supports the traffic management policies set by the Police to ensure traffic flows smoothly and remains controlled. Along with the increased traffic volume during the return period, we are also ensuring optimal on-ground services so that road users can experience a safe and comfortable journey,” said Ria.
JTT ensures operational readiness through the optimization of field personnel, maximum operation of toll booths, and additional transaction service support to accelerate toll gate processing. Traffic conditions are also monitored in real time through CCTV integrated with the traffic control center.
In line with the implementation of this traffic engineering measure, JTT urges all Trans Java toll road users to anticipate their travel routes in advance, ensure that both vehicle and driver are in prime condition, and prepare sufficient electronic money balance before entering the toll road. Road users are also expected to comply with traffic signs and follow instructions from officers on duty for the safety and comfort of all.
