1447 H/2026 Eid al-Adha Holiday Drives Travel Demand, 81 Thousand Vehicles Head East Through Cikampek Utama Toll Gate
Cikampek (28/05) – PT Jasamarga Transjawa Tol (JTT) recorded an increase in traffic volume from D-1 through the day of Eid al-Adha (May 26–27, 2026) during the 1447 H/2026 Eid al-Adha long holiday period. A total of 81,030 vehicles traveled toward the eastern Trans Java region through Cikampek Utama Toll Gate (GT Cikampek Utama). This figure represents a 52.67% increase compared to the normal traffic volume of 53,075 vehicles.
Vice President of Corporate Secretary & Legal of PT Jasamarga Transjawa Tol, Ria Marlinda Paallo, stated, “Meanwhile, a total of 47,611 vehicles traveling from the eastern Trans Java region toward Jakarta passed through GT Cikampek Utama, representing a 7.34% decrease compared to the normal traffic volume of 51,380 vehicles,” explained Ria.
An increase in traffic volume was also recorded on several toll road sections managed by the JTT Group across Central Java and East Java.
Central Java Region
a. Kalikangkung Toll Gate
A total of 40,364 vehicles traveled toward Semarang, representing a 35.69% increase from the normal volume of 29,748 vehicles. Meanwhile, 23,826 vehicles traveled out of Semarang toward Jakarta, a 14.09% decrease compared to the normal volume of 27,733 vehicles.
b. Banyumanik Toll Gate
Traffic heading toward Solo reached 50,556 vehicles, an increase of 27.50% from the normal volume of 39,653 vehicles. Meanwhile, traffic toward Jakarta totaled 36,847 vehicles, up 13.24% from the normal volume of 32,539 vehicles.
East Java Region
a. Warugunung Toll Gate
A total of 34,251 vehicles traveled toward Surabaya, representing a 7.43% decrease from the normal volume of 37,000 vehicles, while 37,852 vehicles traveled toward Jakarta, an increase of 6.80% compared to the normal volume of 35,442 vehicles.
b. Kejapanan Utama Toll Gate
A total of 46,216 vehicles traveled toward Malang, an increase of 14.00% from the normal volume of 40,542 vehicles, while 43,330 vehicles traveled toward Surabaya, representing a 3.09% decrease from the normal volume of 44,713 vehicles.
c. Singosari Toll Gate
A total of 26,001 vehicles traveled toward Malang, representing a 12.46% increase from the normal volume of 23,121 vehicles, while 23,437 vehicles traveled toward Surabaya, an increase of 11.08% from the normal volume of 21,100 vehicles.
Ria added, “Road users are encouraged to remain focused and attentive while driving, even though traffic conditions during the Eid al-Adha long holiday period have remained relatively smooth. We continue to urge all road users to prioritize safety, maintain their physical condition, and make use of the Travoy application to access real-time traffic information, rest area locations, toll road CCTV, and emergency services to support a safe and comfortable journey,” said Ria.
