Increased Vehicle Mobility on Palimanan–Kanci Toll Road, JTT Records Traffic Growth at Ciperna Toll Gates

Cirebon (21/03) – In line with the increasing vehicle mobility toward Central Java and East Java ahead of the Idulfitri 1447H/2026 holiday period, PT Jasamarga Transjawa Tol (JTT) continues to monitor traffic conditions on the Palimanan–Kanci (Palikanci) Toll Road. Based on traffic data from vehicles passing through Ciperna Barat and Ciperna Timur Toll Gates, there has been an increase in traffic volume compared to normal conditions.

Senior Manager Representative Office 2 of PT Jasamarga Transjawa Tol, M. Faried Sulistamtama, stated that the increase in vehicle mobility has begun to be observed at entry and exit points through Ciperna Barat and Ciperna Timur Toll Gates. “From Thursday, March 19, 2026 to Friday, March 20, 2026, the number of vehicles exiting through Ciperna Barat Toll Gate reached 11,189 vehicles, an increase of 13.44% compared to the normal traffic volume of 9,863 vehicles. Meanwhile, the number of vehicles exiting through Ciperna Timur Toll Gate reached 4,513 vehicles, an increase of 12.43% compared to the normal volume of 4,014 vehicles,” said Faried.

Faried added that the increase in traffic volume is also in line with the utilization of a functional rest area on the Palimanan–Kanci Toll Road located at the Representative Office 2 of PT JTT, near the access to Ciperna Barat and Ciperna Timur Toll Gates. The presence of this functional rest area is expected to provide an alternative resting place for road users traveling through the Cirebon area and its surroundings.

Meanwhile, Vice President Corporate Secretary & Legal of PT Jasamarga Transjawa Tol, Ria Marlinda Paallo, stated that JTT continues to ensure the readiness of operational services along the Palimanan–Kanci Toll Road to anticipate increased vehicle mobility ahead of the long holiday period. “We ensure operational readiness in terms of toll transaction services, traffic services, as well as supporting facilities such as rest areas to maintain the comfort of road users’ journeys,” said Ria.

Ria added that JTT urges all toll road users to plan their journeys properly and ensure sufficient electronic toll card balance before entering the toll road. In addition, road users are encouraged to make wise use of rest area facilities and comply with traffic signs and officers’ instructions for collective safety.
