Return Flow Readiness for Eid al-Fitr 1447H/2026, JTT Strengthens Services on Jakarta–Cikampek Toll Road

Cikampek (23/03) – PT Jasamarga Transjawa Tol (JTT) is strengthening service readiness in facing the Eid al-Fitr 1447H/2026 return flow period, particularly on the Jakarta–Cikampek Toll Road as the main gateway for vehicle movement from the eastern Trans Java region toward Jakarta.

Based on the latest traffic data, return flow movement has begun to increase. In Shift 1 on March 23, 2026, a total of 12,624 vehicles were recorded traveling from the eastern Trans Java region toward Jakarta through Cikampek Utama Toll Gate (GT), an increase of 49.75% compared to the normal traffic volume of 8,442 vehicles.

Corporate Secretary & Legal PT Jasamarga Transjawa Tol, Ria Marlinda Paallo, stated that JTT has prepared various strategic measures to ensure smooth return flow traffic. “JTT continues to coordinate intensively with the Police and related stakeholders to ensure that traffic engineering decisions are made quickly and accurately in accordance with field conditions. In addition, we are also optimizing operational services and deploying personnel at all critical points along the Trans Java Toll Road,” said Ria.

Furthermore, Ria added that at Cikampek Utama Toll Gate, JTT operates 22 toll booths toward Jakarta to anticipate increased traffic volume during the return flow. In addition, JTT has prepared the operation of Cikampek Utama 8 Toll Gate as an additional access point to accommodate vehicles from Java heading toward Jakarta. “This measure is expected to distribute vehicle flow more evenly and minimize potential queues at the toll gate,” she added.

To support smooth return flow traffic, JTT together with the Police will also implement situational traffic engineering such as contraflow and one-way systems, adjusted to real-time traffic dynamics in the field.

JTT urges all toll road users to plan their journeys properly, avoid peak hours, and ensure that vehicles are in prime and roadworthy condition. Road users are also advised to ensure sufficient fuel and electronic toll card balance, and to utilize rest areas wisely. In addition, users are encouraged to always comply with traffic signs and follow officers’ instructions in the field for overall safety.
