JTT Explains Local One Way Route Scheme Passing Through Semarang ABC Toll Road Section to Support Smooth Homecoming Traffic Flow
Semarang (19/03) – In order to support the smooth flow of Idulfitri 1447H/2026 homecoming traffic in the Central Java region, PT Jasamarga Transjawa Tol (JTT), together with the Police, has prepared a traffic engineering scheme in the form of a local one way system passing through the Batang–Semarang Toll Road, the Semarang ABC Toll Road Section, and the Semarang–Solo Toll Road.
This traffic engineering scheme is implemented situationally based on Police discretion, taking into account traffic conditions in the field, particularly in the event of increased vehicle volume toward Central Java and East Java.
Under this scheme, the local one way is applied starting from KM 414 Kalikangkung Toll Gate on the Batang–Semarang Toll Road, passing through the Semarang ABC Toll Road Section, up to KM 459 Salatiga on the Semarang–Solo Toll Road, and may be extended depending on real-time traffic conditions.
To support the implementation of this traffic engineering, several traffic arrangements are carried out at strategic points, including:
-Traffic flow from Section C heading toward Jatingaleh will be diverted toward Tembalang and Gayamsari to avoid vehicle movement conflicts with the one way route
-Several entry access points such as the Srondol on-ramp and Jatingaleh on-ramp will be temporarily closed to ensure vehicles do not enter the designated one way route
-Closed toll gate entry access points will be used as exit access for vehicles from the one way route toward Semarang City, allowing smoother distribution of traffic to the arterial road network
-Vehicles from Jakarta heading toward Solo, Yogyakarta, and Surabaya will be directed to follow the one way route via the Jatingaleh interchange toward the Semarang–Solo Toll Road
In addition, if long queues occur in the Jatingaleh area, field officers may also implement a diversion scheme from the Jangli Ramp to Section C as an additional entry route to the one way lane to help disperse congestion.
Senior Manager Representative Office 2 of PT Jasamarga Transjawa Tol, M. Faried Sulistamtama, stated that this traffic arrangement is carried out to ensure smoother and safer vehicle movement toward the eastern Trans Java region. “The implementation of this local one way route scheme is part of a joint effort to optimize traffic distribution during the homecoming period. Field officers will continue to monitor and manage traffic situationally to maintain smooth travel for road users,” explained Faried.
Meanwhile, VP Corporate Secretary & Legal of PT Jasamarga Transjawa Tol, Ria Marlinda Paallo, added that intensive coordination continues with the Police and stakeholders to ensure the optimal implementation of traffic engineering during the homecoming period. “JTT fully supports the traffic engineering measures established by the Police to maintain smooth public mobility during the homecoming period. We urge road users to always update traffic information, ensure their vehicles are in prime condition, and comply with traffic signs and officers’ directions in the field for safety and comfort,” said Ria.
JTT urges all road users traveling in the Semarang area and its surroundings to comply with traffic signs, follow officers’ directions in the field, and plan their journeys properly so that their homecoming trips can be safe and comfortable until they reach their destinations.
