Implementation of National One Way at Peak Homecoming Flow, 387 Thousand Vehicles Move Eastbound on Trans Java
Cikampek (18/03) – PT Jasamarga Transjawa Tol (JTT) has optimized the implementation of traffic engineering in the form of a national one way scheme in line with the increasing mobility of the public during the peak of the Idulfitri 1447H/2026 homecoming flow towards the eastern Trans Java region. During the H-10 to H-4 period (March 11–17, 2026), a total of 387,451 vehicles were recorded traveling eastbound through Cikampek Utama Toll Gate. This traffic volume increased significantly by 95.59% compared to the normal traffic volume of 198,098 vehicles.
Corporate Secretary & Legal of PT Jasamarga Transjawa Tol, Ria Marlinda Paallo, stated, “To anticipate this surge, JTT in coordination with the Police has implemented a national one way traffic engineering scheme from KM 70 of the Jakarta–Cikampek Toll Road Section to KM 414 Kalikangkung Toll Gate since 13.30 WIB. This was followed by a local one way scheme from KM 414 Kalikangkung Toll Gate to KM 459 of the Semarang–Solo Toll Road since 17.20 WIB. In addition, to support the smooth flow of vehicles towards Trans Java, JTT is operating 22 toll booths and 17 mobile readers at Cikampek Utama Toll Gate. The operation of toll booths and mobile readers is carried out optimally and situationally, in accordance with traffic volume dynamics in the field to ensure smooth transactions and minimize vehicle queues at the toll gate,” explained Ria.
Ria added, “The enhancement of services is also supported by a 23% toll tariff discount for all transactions on the Batang–Semarang Section, which remains in effect from March 12 to March 31, 2026, in response to the traffic surge and high public enthusiasm during the Idulfitri 1447H/2026 holiday period. This policy is expected to help distribute traffic more evenly while providing direct benefits to road users,” said Ria.
