Supporting One Way Traffic Engineering Implementation, JTT Ensures Operational Readiness of Palimanan–Kanci Toll Road Section

Cirebon (19/03) – PT Jasamarga Transjawa Tol (JTT) ensures the operational readiness of the Palimanan–Kanci (Palikanci) Toll Road Section in supporting the implementation of one way traffic engineering during the Idulfitri 1447H/2026 homecoming period. The Palikanci section is one of the strategic routes included in the ongoing one way scheme from KM 70 Cikampek Utama Toll Gate on the Jakarta–Cikampek Toll Road to KM 459 on the Semarang–Solo Toll Road.

Corporate Secretary & Legal of PT Jasamarga Transjawa Tol, Ria Marlinda Paallo, stated that various anticipatory measures have been taken to ensure smooth traffic flow during the implementation of the traffic engineering. “As part of the main Trans Java corridor, the Palikanci section plays an important role in maintaining the continuity of vehicle flow toward Central Java and East Java. Therefore, we have ensured the readiness of operational services, including personnel, facilities, and supporting systems in the field,” said Ria.

In terms of transaction services, JTT has prepared 7 toll gate locations equipped with 31 automatic toll booths and 33 mobile reader units to support smooth vehicle transactions. In addition, 6 electronic money top-up service points are available to help road users ensure sufficient balance during their journey.

From the traffic monitoring side, the Palikanci section is supported by 53 CCTV units distributed across toll gates and along the mainline, as well as 24 Dynamic Message Sign (DMS) units that provide real-time traffic information to road users. All information and communication systems are integrated with the operational control center to ensure quick response to traffic conditions in the field.

To support traffic services and emergency handling, JTT has also prepared an operational fleet consisting of 3 Mobile Customer Service (MCS) units, 3 Highway Patrol (PJR) units, 1 Rescue unit, 5 tow trucks, 1 ambulance, 2 water tank units, 1 technician unit, 1 traffic signage unit, and 2 shuttle units, all on standby 24 hours.

In addition, JTT has deployed incident response teams operating 24 hours, covering flood handling, pothole repairs, maintenance of road equipment, roadside cleaning, and fallen tree handling. These teams are equipped with supporting tools such as alcon pumps, chainsaws, tampers, and operational vehicles to ensure traffic disturbances can be handled quickly and effectively.

To maintain user comfort, JTT also ensures the readiness of Rest Areas KM 207A and KM 208B on the Palikanci Toll Road. These rest areas are equipped with various facilities such as parking areas, mosques, toilets, fuel stations, commercial areas, and other supporting services. In addition, JTT has prepared an alternative rest area at the JTT Representative Office 2, which can be used situationally by road users as a resting place in case of congestion at the main rest areas.

To anticipate potential congestion at rest areas, JTT has also prepared situational traffic arrangements, including parking capacity management. Coordination with related parties is also carried out to ensure smooth access in and out of rest areas.

Ria added that road users are advised to plan their trips properly and make good use of the traffic engineering measures. “We urge road users to anticipate their travel routes, ensure their vehicles are in prime condition, have sufficient fuel and electronic toll balance, and comply with traffic signs and officers’ directions in the field for safety and comfort,” she added.
