Supporting Lunar New Year 2026 Holiday Mobility, Palimanan–Kanci Toll Road Strengthens West–East Java Connectivity
Cirebon (13/02) – The 26.3-kilometer Palimanan–Kanci (Palikanci) Toll Road, managed by PT Jasamarga Transjawa Tol (JTT), continues to demonstrate its strategic role as part of the Trans Java Toll Road network in supporting public mobility, particularly during the extended Lunar New Year 2026 holiday period.
This toll road serves as a main connector for vehicles traveling from western regions toward Central Java and East Java, while also facilitating access for tourists heading to various Lunar New Year celebration destinations such as the Chinatown area and Pasar Imlek Semawis in Semarang, Pasar Raya Gede Solo, and Kya-Kya Chunjie Fest in Surabaya. The established connectivity enables faster and more efficient interregional travel during periods of increased traffic volume.
This convenience is also reflected in travel time efficiency. As an illustration, long-distance travel from western regions to Semarang via national roads may take up to 12 hours. By contrast, through the Palikanci Toll Road, the journey can be completed in approximately 6 hours, making it a more efficient mobility option during periods of increased traffic volume throughout the extended holiday.
To maintain service reliability, JTT conducts intensive monitoring and supervision as well as routine maintenance to ensure road conditions remain safe, smooth, and comfortable for users. Supporting facilities are also available at Rest Areas KM 207A and KM 208B, equipped with fuel stations, places of worship, restrooms, dining areas and MSME tenants, as well as Electric Vehicle Charging Stations (SPKLU).
Vice President Corporate Secretary & Legal of PT Jasamarga Transjawa Tol, Ria Marlinda Paallo, stated that the Palimanan–Kanci Toll Road forms an integral part of the national mobility system, whose service standards must be consistently maintained. “The Palimanan–Kanci Toll Road is one of the strategic corridors whose reliability we continuously maintain to support smooth interregional mobility. We ensure that infrastructure quality, operational readiness, and minimum service standards are optimally fulfilled so that road users can experience safe, smooth, and comfortable journeys,” said Ria.
JTT ensures that road user safety remains a top priority through strengthened supervision and field personnel preparedness, deploying traffic and maintenance service officers 24 hours a day, including patrol units, tow trucks, ambulances, and traffic incident response teams ready to respond swiftly in emergency situations. In addition, vehicle flow is monitored in real time through a CCTV system integrated with the Traffic Control Center, while the latest traffic information can be accessed by road users through the Travoy application to assist travel planning and anticipate potential congestion.
With the support of reliable technology and human resources, JTT is committed to maintaining the reliability of the Palikanci Toll Road as a strategic infrastructure supporting public mobility and national economic growth.
JTT urges all road users to ensure their vehicles are in prime condition, maintain sufficient electronic toll balance, and take a rest if feeling fatigued during the journey. The latest traffic information can be accessed through the 24-hour One Call Center at 14080 and the Travoy application on iOS and Android devices.
