Eid al-Fitr 1447H/2026 Traffic Flow Reaches 729 Thousand Vehicles Toward Eastern Trans Java

Cikampek (22/03) – PT Jasamarga Transjawa Tol (JTT) recorded public mobility during the Eid al-Fitr 1447H/2026 homecoming period toward the eastern Trans Java region. During the H-10 to Eid Day period (March 11–21, 2026), a total of 729,632 vehicles were recorded traveling eastbound through Cikampek Utama Toll Gate (GT). This traffic volume increased significantly by 129.98% compared to the normal volume of 317,255 vehicles.

Corporate Secretary & Legal PT Jasamarga Transjawa Tol, Ria Marlinda Paallo, stated, “Meanwhile, based on traffic data for Shift 1 on Sunday (22/03), a total of 25,837 vehicles were recorded traveling eastbound through Cikampek Utama Toll Gate. This figure increased by 169.08% compared to the normal traffic volume of 9,602 vehicles. To maintain smooth traffic flow, PT Jasamarga Transjawa Tol, together with the Police, had implemented a contraflow traffic scheme from KM 47 to KM 70 toward Cikampek on the Jakarta–Cikampek Toll Road under Police discretion,” explained Ria.

Ria added, “There is still strong public enthusiasm for traveling toward the eastern Trans Java region. Therefore, a 23% toll discount for all transactions on the Batang–Semarang Toll Road remains in effect from March 12 to March 31, 2026. This policy is expected to help distribute traffic more evenly while providing direct benefits to road users,” said Ria.

Meanwhile, vehicles traveling from the eastern Trans Java region toward Jakarta through Cikampek Utama Toll Gate recorded a decrease of 193,539 vehicles, down 36.12% compared to the normal traffic volume of 302,984 vehicles.

The increase in vehicle volume was also observed across several toll roads managed by the JTT Group in Central Java and East Java regions.

Central Java Region
a. GT Kalikangkung
Vehicles heading toward Semarang reached 396,722 vehicles (up 121.60% from the normal 179,029 vehicles). Meanwhile, vehicles leaving Semarang totaled 125,449 vehicles (down 23.76% from the normal 164,554 vehicles).

b. GT Banyumanik
Traffic toward Solo reached 446,096 vehicles (up 76.99% from the normal 252,049 vehicles). Meanwhile, traffic toward Jakarta reached 173,567 vehicles (down 12.68% from the normal 198,766 vehicles).

East Java Region
a. GT Warugunung
Vehicles heading toward Surabaya reached 249,964 vehicles (up 13.54% from the normal 220,150 vehicles), while traffic toward Jakarta reached 276,795 vehicles (up 32.76% from the normal 208,500 vehicles).

b. GT Kejapanan Utama
A total of 276,157 vehicles headed toward Malang (up 7.68% from the normal 256,464 vehicles), and 266,009 vehicles headed toward Surabaya (down 0.93% from the normal 268,499 vehicles).

c. GT Singosari
Vehicles heading toward Malang reached 147,940 vehicles (down 0.26% from the normal 148,330 vehicles), while traffic toward Surabaya reached 138,346 vehicles (up 2.20% from the normal 135,369 vehicles).

PT JTT urges Trans Java toll road users to continue prioritizing safety, plan their journeys properly, ensure both vehicle and driver are in optimal condition, and ensure sufficient fuel and electronic toll card balance before traveling.
