Long Holiday Return Flow Drives Increase in Traffic Volume at Cikampek Utama Toll Gate, 77 Thousand Vehicles Arrive from Trans Java Direction
Cikampek (18/05) – PT Jasamarga Transjawa Tol (JTT) recorded an increase in traffic volume during the return flow period of the 2026 Ascension Day long holiday. During the H+2 and H+3 period (May 16–17, 2026), a total of 77,302 vehicles traveling from the Eastern Trans Java region toward Jakarta passed through the Cikampek Utama Toll Gate (GT Cikampek Utama). This figure represents a 21.25% increase compared to the normal traffic volume of 63,753 vehicles.
Corporate Secretary & Legal of PT Jasamarga Transjawa Tol, Ria Marlinda Paallo, stated, “Meanwhile, the number of vehicles heading toward the Eastern Trans Java region through GT Cikampek Utama during the same period decreased to 52,641 vehicles, down 10.60% compared to the normal traffic volume of 58,882 vehicles,” said Ria.
An increase in traffic volume was also observed on several toll road sections managed by the JTT Group in Central Java and East Java.
Central Java Region
a. Kalikangkung Toll Gate
Vehicles leaving Semarang toward Jakarta totaled 41,826 vehicles (up 26.42% from the normal volume of 33,085 vehicles). Meanwhile, vehicles heading toward Semarang totaled 28,320 vehicles (down 15.22% from the normal volume of 33,405 vehicles).
b. Banyumanik Toll Gate
Traffic heading toward Jakarta reached 54,035 vehicles (up 22.30% from the normal volume of 44,184 vehicles). Meanwhile, traffic toward Solo reached 48,380 vehicles (down 9.28% from the normal volume of 53,329 vehicles).
East Java Region
a. Warugunung Toll Gate
Vehicles heading toward Jakarta totaled 37,615 vehicles (down 5.46% from the normal volume of 39,789 vehicles), while traffic toward Surabaya reached 42,916 vehicles (down 2.51% from the normal volume of 44,022 vehicles).
b. Kejapanan Utama Toll Gate
A total of 58,627 vehicles headed toward Surabaya (down 0.51% from the normal volume of 58,928 vehicles), while 49,596 vehicles traveled toward Malang (down 10.11% from the normal volume of 55,175 vehicles).
c. Singosari Toll Gate
Vehicles heading toward Surabaya totaled 32,888 vehicles (up 2.02% from the normal volume of 32,238 vehicles), while traffic toward Malang reached 29,388 vehicles (down 8.82% from the normal volume of 32,231 vehicles).
