Long Holiday Return Flow Drives Increase in Traffic Volume at Cikampek Utama Toll Gate, 50 Thousand Vehicles Travel from the Trans Java Region
Cikampek (01/06) – PT Jasamarga Transjawa Tol (JTT) recorded an increase in traffic volume on D+1 (May 31, 2026) during the return flow of the 2026 Vesak Day long holiday period. A total of 50,342 vehicles traveled from the eastern Trans Java region toward Jakarta through Cikampek Utama Toll Gate (GT Cikampek Utama). This figure represents a 39.01% increase compared to the normal traffic volume of 36,214 vehicles.
Vice President of Corporate Secretary & Legal of PT Jasamarga Transjawa Tol, Ria Marlinda Paallo, stated, “Meanwhile, a total of 30,642 vehicles traveled toward the eastern Trans Java region through GT Cikampek Utama, representing a 14.28% increase compared to the normal traffic volume of 26,812 vehicles,” said Ria.
An increase in traffic volume was also recorded on several toll road sections managed by the JTT Group across Central Java and East Java.
Central Java Region
a. Kalikangkung Toll Gate
A total of 25,681 vehicles departed Semarang toward Jakarta, representing a 39.59% increase from the normal volume of 18,397 vehicles. Meanwhile, 15,160 vehicles traveled toward Semarang, a 4.08% decrease compared to the normal volume of 15,805 vehicles.
b. Banyumanik Toll Gate
Traffic heading toward Jakarta reached 33,499 vehicles, an increase of 36.12% from the normal volume of 24,610 vehicles. Meanwhile, traffic toward Solo totaled 28,682 vehicles, up 11.83% from the normal volume of 25,647 vehicles.
East Java Region
a. Warugunung Toll Gate
A total of 21,173 vehicles traveled toward Jakarta, representing a 7.62% increase from the normal volume of 19,674 vehicles, while 23,049 vehicles traveled toward Surabaya, an increase of 2.03% compared to the normal volume of 22,590 vehicles.
b. Kejapanan Utama Toll Gate
A total of 34,548 vehicles traveled toward Surabaya, an increase of 9.13% from the normal volume of 31,659 vehicles, while 31,919 vehicles traveled toward Malang, representing a 20.94% increase from the normal volume of 26,393 vehicles.
c. Singosari Toll Gate
A total of 19,525 vehicles traveled toward Surabaya, representing a 7.36% increase from the normal volume of 18,187 vehicles, while 19,275 vehicles traveled toward Malang, an increase of 32.81% from the normal volume of 14,513 vehicles.
Ria added, “Road users are encouraged to remain focused and attentive while driving, even though traffic conditions during the 2026 Vesak Day long holiday period have remained relatively smooth. We continue to urge all road users to prioritize safety, maintain their physical condition, and make use of the Travoy application to access real-time traffic information, rest area locations, toll road CCTV, and emergency services to support a safe and comfortable journey,” said Ria.
