Demonstrating Environmental Commitment, PT Jasamarga Transjawa Tol Conducts Tree Planting and River Clean-Up on Palimanan–Kanci Toll Road Section

Bekasi (28/02) – As a manifestation of concern for the environment and communities surrounding the Palimanan–Kanci Toll Road, Representative Office 2 of PT Jasamarga Transjawa Tol (JTT) carried out a tree planting and river clean-up activity in Danawinangun Village, Klangenan District, Cirebon on Friday, February 28, 2025.

A total of 200 fruit trees were handed over to the representative of the community, Village Secretary of Danawinangun, Heru Yandi, to be planted in the areas surrounding the toll road. This initiative is expected to improve air quality and support environmental sustainability. Meanwhile, the river clean-up activity aims to help preserve the aquatic ecosystem, reduce pollution, and enhance the quality of life for communities around the river.

Senior Manager of Representative Office 2 PT JTT for the Palimanan–Kanci Toll Road, M. Faried Sulistamtama, stated, “The implementation of this activity is a form of the company's commitment to preserving the environment and improving the quality of life for communities through our Social and Environmental Responsibility (TJSL) program,” he said.

Furthermore, VP Corporate Secretary and Legal of PT JTT, Ria Paallo, explained that the TJSL program is a routine initiative of the company. “The tree planting and river clean-up activities represent PT JTT’s commitment to the environment and surrounding communities. Both activities demonstrate our concern for environmental sustainability and active contribution to improving social and environmental conditions in surrounding areas, including educating the community not to dispose waste into rivers. This is in line with the principles of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) upheld by the company,” said Ria.

On the same occasion, Village Secretary of Danawinangun, Heru Yandi, expressed appreciation to PT JTT for the support provided to the community, “We are very grateful to PT JTT for the attention and care shown to us and the surrounding environment. We hope this assistance can bring benefits in improving community welfare and creating a cleaner, healthier, and more sustainable environment,” he said.

PT JTT, as a toll road operator, continues to demonstrate its commitment to the community and environmental sustainability through TJSL programs carried out along the Trans Java toll road network.
