JTT Enhances Road Safety Through ODOL Vehicle Awareness and Education Program on the Jakarta–Cikampek Toll Road

Bekasi (08/07) – PT Jasamarga Transjawa Tol (JTT), in collaboration with the Indonesian National Police and the Bekasi Regency Transportation Agency, conducted an Over Dimension Over Loading (ODOL) Vehicle Awareness and Education Program at KM 29A in the Cikampek-bound direction of the Jakarta–Cikampek Toll Road on 8–9 July 2026.

The program, held from 08:00 WIB to 11:00 WIB, represents a joint effort to improve road safety while supporting the implementation of freight transportation that complies with vehicle dimension and loading regulations. This initiative is also aligned with similar educational operations currently being carried out on several toll road sections across Indonesia.

Acting Vice President of Corporate Secretary & Legal of PT Jasamarga Transjawa Tol, Dary Achmad Budi, explained that the program emphasizes an educational approach for freight vehicle drivers.

"Through this initiative, JTT, together with the Police and the Transportation Agency, provides drivers with a better understanding of the importance of complying with vehicle dimension and loading regulations. Vehicles operating in accordance with applicable regulations not only improve road safety for all users but also help preserve the quality of toll road infrastructure, ensuring its continued reliability in supporting public mobility," said Dary.

During the program, a joint team conducted inspections of freight vehicles suspected of being over dimension or overloaded by weighing the vehicles to determine their actual weight. The inspection results served as an educational tool to help drivers understand the negative impacts of ODOL vehicles on road safety and infrastructure reliability. Drivers were also reminded to comply with vehicle dimension and loading regulations and to ensure that their vehicles meet all technical and roadworthiness requirements before operating.

JTT highly appreciates the strong collaboration among all stakeholders in promoting a safe, orderly, and safety-oriented traffic culture. Through continuous educational initiatives, it is expected that freight operators will become more aware of the risks associated with ODOL vehicles, contributing to safer journeys, preserving the reliability of toll road infrastructure, and supporting the smooth distribution of national logistics.

JTT also encourages all road users, particularly freight vehicle drivers, to always ensure their vehicles are roadworthy, comply with the prescribed vehicle dimension and loading limits, and follow the instructions of officers on site for the safety of all road users.
