Strengthening Toll Road Services, JTT Accelerates the Completion of the Surabaya–Gempol Toll Road Widening Project

Surabaya (03/08) – PT Jasamarga Transjawa Tol (JTT) continues to demonstrate its commitment to enhancing the capacity and quality of the Trans Java Toll Road infrastructure by accelerating the widening works on the Surabaya–Gempol Toll Road, particularly along the Kejapanan–Gempol section.

Acting Vice President of Corporate Secretary & Legal of PT Jasamarga Transjawa Tol, Dary Achmad Budi, stated that JTT, together with all relevant stakeholders, continues to optimize the implementation of the project to ensure its completion in accordance with the targeted schedule while maintaining the highest standards of occupational safety and service for toll road users.

"As of Week 48, the widening project on the Surabaya–Gempol Toll Road has reached 97.767% completion. We continue to optimize the remaining works through ongoing evaluation and accelerated implementation in the field to meet the established targets, while prioritizing occupational safety, work quality, and the comfort of toll road users," said Dary.

The widening works are being carried out between KM 769+450 and KM 772+650 as part of JTT's commitment to delivering more reliable toll road services while increasing the capacity of the Surabaya–Gempol Toll Road, particularly along the Kejapanan–Gempol section. The project is expected to improve traffic flow and accommodate future traffic volume growth along this strategic corridor.

Throughout the construction period, JTT, in coordination with the relevant authorities, has implemented traffic management measures and installed safety equipment around the work area. Regular supervision is also being carried out to ensure that every stage of the project complies with the established quality and safety standards.

JTT apologizes for any inconvenience that may arise as a result of these works. Road users are advised to remain vigilant, comply with traffic signs and instructions from officers on site, reduce speed when approaching the work area, and maintain a safe following distance from the vehicle ahead.

JTT also encourages road users to ensure that their vehicles are in good operating condition and to contact the Jasa Marga One Call Center at 133 for the latest traffic information.
